Itachi held back against Kabuto, plus he had to help Sasuke. Once Obito makes physical contact with Itachi clone like Kabuto did Izanami is ready, now it's up to Itachi on how he wants to rewrite what Obito has to accept. He could make him get over Rin, he could make him see his décision about starting a war is wrong. All that takes no time at all. Itachi kept telling Kabuto stop tryin to be like Orochimaru, giving him hints in that fight, here theres no reason to do so.
