[Suggestion] Poem of the Month/Week.

I was thinking we can have a contest with poems, Poems take talent and emotions to actually make, I suggest that we make a contest about this so we can do something from our own talent as along with getting a prize. I think that having a contest like this can actually mean something, Most contests we have are just from talent and voting (Not leaving any names or intending to harm any), Poems come through emotion, And this is why this would be something great to make a contest of..I may understand the reasons for not being accepted considering the stages that this forum is entering right now, but please reminisce about this for awhile.


That's all I have to say.

Poems were always popular, they just weren't as popular because of fan-fictions, though people come to the poems section once in awhile and wonder upon their thoughts and feelings while looking at other poems.

I wouldn't say that the other contests don't take emotion.Writing poems takes talent to convey emotion through words, just like most of the other contests do but with different mediums than words.

I just wanted to say that, but I think it's a good idea for a poetry contest.​

It's just that, some contests are starting to die out and not many people are participating in them, So that's why I decided to bring this up, just so people can try something new.

Back then, I didn't understand the current status of the forum, people used to love the contests back then but now those are starting to die out, I never made a suggestion about this since, I won't keep posting about it to get it approved..I just wish it gets considered, on the second URL Escorpiius considered it but it was never heard of since.

That's not Skorm. xD That mod helps out with the FF section I believe. And it wasn't considered, it was being worked on. So they're probably still working on it, or dropped it altogether. But it was more than considered. =D

I recommend asking Lawliet about it. She's the queen of the FF section.

I know, I know xD, I just looked back at the link and saw that. I made that suggestion before that day happened, but the drawbacks that they considered would've been fixed by now..I can't say that for myself, But knowing this forum things can get fixed easily, And if they dropped it, Like I said..There's many people who don't have a talent for the current contests that NB already provides, Having a contest that most people have a talent in can make the contest successful.

Don't worry, since they were working on it, I think they pass that "will people like it" process. I guess this thread can serve as a reminder. But, going to Lawliet will get you a clear answer.

This idea has been suggested countless times over, and it has been considered countless times over. I don't think it's a matter of if anymore, but when. For it to happen, the right approach has to be made, and I think the staff said something along the lines of if they were able to come up with a nice way to do it, they would, but it was not first priority as of now.

I do agree however, as it might bring back some "population" and popularity to the Poem section, which seems to have declined a bit (like some other sections). But that is only a might though, as nothing is certain. I don't agree with the claim that poem has more emotion put into it than Art and FFs, for instance, but I still support this idea.
If it was to happen, Lawliet would most likely pull the strings.
