What a gross over-simplification, more to it and less explored than most 'cool' characters in this story.

Kid born awesome, becomes government rat, kills family, has a little cry about it, brother kills him, was nice(?) all along?

Kid looks at girl, they get married, becomes hokage and they orphan their son, oh- and also he's fast apparently

because it's the biggest deus ex machina in the entire story. I care less about it now but it's still a sucky move that is oddly specific, never been heard of before and will never be used again, it may have as well been called the 'beat Kabuto no jutsu'

Clearly the Uchiha bros had to defeat Kabuto for the sake of the plot but I can think of at least 3 ways that would've been much more interesting and better written. It's still one of the top 3 worst things with Naruto, along with Minato Namikaze and Totsuka Blade.

with izanaghi making an appearance it was unavoidable to bring in izanami and it being the deterministic version of the 2 ..

I love everything about how kabuto was beaten.

I love the Kabuto fight and his backstory was simpliy amazing but the reason why I give this rating is because Itachi Izanami ruined it, it was a total asspull.

This jutsu is perfectly logical.

But it's placement in the story was not. We had never heard of it and we will never see it used again. It was the 'Beat Kabuto no Jutsu' and that's blatantly bad storytelling. A better end would've been Itachi to wear down Kabuto of his chakra and turn him into a mess, in his rage he summons all of his remaining edo tensei from the battlefield to defeat Itachi and his jutsu is coming undone, and they all break free and turn against him- ending the edo tensei and the spirits go free.

I would've preferred that ending much more, much neater.

Lewl? It was clearly obvious that Izanami was going to make it's way into the story and it was clearly going to be a Sharingan kinjutsu that counterparts Izanagi. I suggest you go and read up about Japanese Mythology before making Deus ex Machina a hackneyed phrase.

I'm sorry if you're butthurt that your favourite character got beaten but it happens all the time. (And no, it wasn't a gross-oversimplification, characters like Itachi did have a troubled life and let's face it, you didn't oversimplify killing one's family. Kabuto had a relatively simple life with a couple of hard spots, namely losing his parents and killing Nono.)

This DOESN'T make it a good way to defeat the then-current villain. Itachi is a ninja who doesn't even use Izanagi and so to have Madara or Obito introduce it (not as if it were necessary anyway) would've made more sense. You can't just point to some wiki page and go 'its a thing that exists so that makes it a good storytelling resolve' because that is crap.

2/5 the first episode was really good and I liked the flashback. But the fight was way too broken up and had too much talking in between. It would have been better if they put all of the fighting in one episode and saved the flashbacks and talking for the next. I just expected more and izanami really annoys me.

"We have no way to beat him but luckily I have this one super secret tech that is exactly what we need for this fight and will only work on someone like Kabuto." That's pretty dumb.

Kishimoto had more interesting ways than inventing some other new technique. I've said it all already though, don't wanna start repeating myself- there's more earlier in the thread if you're interested.

AMAZING there are only some parts where the animation is off but overall i liked it better than the manga-->didnt understand anything
