You have to focus on both the chidori and the lightning. When you start calling the lightning down, don't forget about the chidori.

Basically, the opposite of last time just happened. You have to focus on two things at once, maintaining the chidori, and controlling the lightning.

Hm... that's weird. Kirin should have more than enough power to destroy that tree and make a giant crater in the ground. It could be that you focused too much chakra to the outer parts. Since your trying to control it, you'd want to focus a lot of chakra on the outer part of the lightning, but still, the inner part is where all of the power comes from. Once more.
