Remember my friends. This thread and OP's words are his opinion. We are all sharing our opinions with each other. No need to be mean. Unnecessary negativity is unneccessary after all... Sharing knowledge, spreading love and spreading/encouraging positivity is the best option for us all. Especially in this age of war and corruption. It's the best way to create a positive environment/future for us all. Kindness is powerful.

I rather keep to facts when it comes to spiritual topics. People should know that 'faith', (although it's spiritual strength to cope with life for some), is meaningless and keeps you in the dark (ignorance). People should know that there are about 16 religions, some that are not being practiced anymore, all follow the same story pattern as that of Jesus his tale. And most of those religions are older than christianity. They all originate from astrology based knowledge mixed with quantum physics and hidden within made up stories to keep the simpletons deluded to a certain extent. The real message left waiting to be interpreted correctly by the real intellects.
The egyptian lord of the underworld, Seth, simply means 'sunset' aka the passage of the light/enlightenment (the sun\jesus) and the rising of darkness/ignorance. This small example can be interpreted in a pagan understanding or metaphorical.

Let's share knowledge that feeds our minds, not blurt out Jesus, god, mohammed, are great! and such out of ignorance.

I'm very blunt when I see people combining 'confidence' and 'ignorance'.

Bold: Exactly. My friends and family have found the facts, even my ex girlfriend. They all have felt God's presence and that's a fact to them. Personally I have not felt the holy presence yet so I guess I don't have the facts myself yet. But those are honest testimonies.

But as a reasonable and decent human being, I will not deny something I have not tried to feel, or get upset that someone believes something differently.

And yes that is wrong that you had to go through that being gay in a Christian family, and if they can't accept you than that's their loss and I'm sure wherever God is he's disappointed with them. God didn't personally ruin your life, so you shouldn't have a personal vendetta against religion.

How do they know for a fact it was God's presence. Have you ever heard of the placebo effect? Thanks for your concern but if my family wasn't indoctrinated into Christianity then I wouldn't have been outcast. So my hate isn't towards my family members, they only know what they have been taught their entire lives. It's towards the repulsive disgrace that is religion.

@SpiderRider89

Okay I'm a Muslim by birth, im 18 years old, and religion has not effected me like that, at all. The link gave me creeps.

And the stuff about not taking medicine due to religion? Well I even smoke
You must be registered for see images

And I'm not bind by that rule, although alcohol is haram, and other stuff, ur still allowed to consume them in dire conditions
You must be registered for see images

You are still young. I was strongly religious until I was 19 years old. Then I started to question it seriously, due to my sexuality. By the time I was 22 I found that the more you actually learn about religion the less likely you are to remain religious. Now at 24 I'm an Agnostic theist. I believe in the possibility of a God (only because you can't disprove a negative) but I rely on facts for everything.

While I don't support Atheism either (because it's a Gnostic view) the link above provides a direct correlation between knowledge and religion.

I think everyone should just believe in some form of higher power. Jesus is my dude cuz he helps people learn to have virtuous morals
Virtuous morals? Jesus pimp slapped moneylenders, cursed at trees, and rolled around with 12 of his homies making people bow down to him. That nigga was a gangsta.

Well said. I agree but I also disagree in the sense that it's pretty much impossible to truly, 100% distinguish fact from fiction from theory these days. Whether it's fact or opinion, I think we can gain some knowledge from each others' perspective at the very least. Things like the reasoning for why one may (or may not) be religious. What kinds of supportive arguments the person has. The person's perspective/idea of life and religion as a whole. Their level of tolerance to different beliefs.

I just feel like the culmination of fact/fiction/theory/opinion makes up a part of the essence that makes us individuals. And when we can learn from said individuals and understand each other, we are more likely to tolerate our differences especially when both sides have nothing but good will towards each other. (absence of pride/condescending/narcissitic/greed characterstics.... AKA Unnecessary negativity)

i personally think universes ... are... living beings and whatever they want us to be ... well we become that ... not in a controlling state ... we do have free will but with limitations ... i think education is they key to solve all our problems.. and the universe wants us to do that ... to become more educated and get along not just with ourselves but with any creature in our universe ... whether it be other humans from a different part of the universe or other beings. dont you hear the phrase often... history repeats itself??? technically it does ... cuz we never learn from the previous cycles of time

also wanted to add something as much as ppl criticize the bible ... i personally think its good because its all symbolic ... nothing in the bible actually happened its just symbolism but more importantly it talks about a higher power and how that higher power made all living things in its image ... sounds like the universe right there to me ... you can say god is the universe

I believe in a higher existence. Not necessarily "God" as religion describes him. DNA and its mechanisms is simply too complex to convince me it happened randomly.

I was referring to fact, as in the actual metaphorical meaning behind the religious scripts' tales.
The right interpretation of it..which is what every religious nut fails at.

I'm not an overally religious person. I consider myself superstitious but that's about it. When it comes to believing god whether you do or don't is just your own free will and this isn't to try and make non believers believe but just to share what I have to say and what you'd make of it.

First off thinking about the universe and every in it. the biggest stars compared to our size makes us like ants or germs. And personally I don't want to think my existence is nothing more than just a whim or an accident. or just nature itself saying "oh what the hell" If I were to ask a person this question this is what I'd predict would happen.

me- what is that book shelf made of?

person- ummm wood?

me- right where does wood come from?

person- ummm trees

me- right where do trees come from? and don't say pine cones other wise we're back to where we started.

person- uhhh the ground.

me- right where does soil and rock come from?

person- the big bang explosion that seperated and created the elements.

me- right where did that object that exploded that caused the big bang come from?

person-????

Exactly the reason why I believe is just if I didn't really believe in god I would think.... "F*** the world and everything in it. It's not like being good gets you any where. Hey kid go F*** yourself" but that could only be me lol.

conclusion is everyone knows humanity has been in much conflict in religion and that there really is absolutely no evidence of a god or gods out there. however there are many things we really don't understand and may never understand. Newton's law states matter can not be created nor destroyed but how did carbon and the elements get here? did they appear out of no where?

Like I said and I will heavily express this. that this isn't to make you believe but just what I think. and if you find anything wrong or what you have to say then just say it.

What if newton was wrong?

Idiots idolise Jesus as some all-loving deity.
Others know that Jesus, as a astrotheology symbol represents the sun as a celestial body and 'spiritual and intellectual enlightenment' as a metaphor.

OT: lol at this thread. This is a perfect example of what I stated in my post on the earlier God thread.

Simpletons use the word God to answer tough, universal questions they don't have a legitimate answer for. Poor young corrupted minds.
Why are you always disrepsecting ppls religious views but expect me not to compare homosexuality to incest? Your hypocrisy is baffling Zzz

When will this religious shitstorm stop? Seriously if u belive in god, or anyone else does for the matter, why would u or anyone care if some bunch of loons do? I belive in god, since I'm a Muslim. And no one can change what I will believe, or those who don't. It doesn't honestly change who u really are, which is being human.
You're muslum? I would have never guess :|

I just point out stupidity. My intention lingers more to try and wake you up. Not to offend you. And the hypocrisy thing didn't make any sense, sorry.

It does, you disrespect ppl because of their belief (call them stupid and idiotic for believing what they believe) but saying I disrespect homosexuals for comparing the two (which I still don't see how)

I dislike your ignorance. I can't really call that being ideological which most religious ppl are for not condoning homosexuality out of ignorance. Hate that which you don't understand, right.

You're retarded, never said I hate anyone, not once. Not only have you never disproven what I've compared between the two, you also make these fallacious assumptions that I hate a particular group. Classic :|

Ironically the same could be said for you with Christianity (which is not a religion)
