Howard could feel her, he somehow knew what she was feeling. It felt like a mixture of pain and regret with the slightest flicker of happiness hidden behind a more cheerful tone. He continued to support her making sure she was able to easily keep her balance as she walked along the edge. I guess I do, and I just hope you find true happiness.
Howard paused Becca's emotions, thoughts and feelings were to him an open book even though she tried so hard to hide them behind her books and usual monotone voice he had learned over the years how to look past those. His own thoughts, feelings and emotions were the same for her. She could easily tell he had already begun looking into any method he could to help her he paused knowing that he could never lie to this women. He sighed slightly as he began to speak. I know you already can tell, but I've been trying to find an answer for your situation. I wish I could tell you that it was nothing and that I had given up but you know the inner workings of my heart and mind so saying that would only be a mockery to our relationship. We've been friends for too long for me to hold anything away from you. If you want to know what I learned, all you must do is ask, but I beg you please don't ask questions you don't truly wish to know the answers too.
Howard spoke with a calm compassionate tone, he wasn't saddened by the information he had gathered and he knew he'd tell her everything he knew and what his plans were if all she did was ask. He however silently and regretfully hoped she didn't as he knew it would only hurt her to know that he was still trying to help her in any way he could even against her own better judgement and warnings.
