IMO they're some of the best chapters i've read in any manga :')

It's fun being one of the few to appreciate something for once, considering i'm on the other end of the spectrum. Couldn't write a better ending for Obito if I tried. This is a real fanbase splitter.

No one here has said they don't appreciate what they're reading, they just don't like the way it's going. Saying you are one of the few who appreciate it...? Yeah, I don't agree with that.

Anyway, it hit rock bottom during the chapter when Naruto was crying and Sasuke chopped some part of the tree.
That was when it went from bad to God awful for me.

This manga has been going downhill since when? Yes, since Nagato gave into those petty, empty words that no one would take to heart. A shounen manga doesn't mean good-writing should be thrown out of the window. Every genre has constraints. You cannot have childish humour in dark-comedies, Horror cannot have fluffy romance, Epics cannot have antagonists as leads, so on and so forth.

But does that mean Paradise Lost didn't show a hero fall from grace? Did Poe's short-stories cast aside the genre sensibilities? Was Dickens unaware of the revolutionary nature of his writings despite the thematic happy endings in his stories? Was Wuthering Heights stale just because it centered on Revenge and Romance? I can go on and on and on here. The analogies are never-ending. Kishimoto should hit 5th grade and take up creative writing again, as consistency, suspense, working around things despite the limits of the genre are literally lost on him.

I am utterly disgusted at this guy's defense force. A lot of us like consistency and good writing. If those aren't your cup of tea, then you have little right to criticize those who are not happy with the complete lack of effort behind the story. It's stretched just for the sake of stretching. It's a non-debatable issue. Let others express their concerns, as they are, despite your grievances and childish rebuttals, quite genuine.

@ OP I completely agree. Every chapter is worse than the last. It hit rock bottom way back. I don't even know where this thing stands now. It's a shame. It had potential but the author himself drove it mercilessly into the ground. Nothing original remains such as the ingenuity behind Sasori's character, political conspiracies - completely lost behind piles of garbage - quirks of all Akatsuki members, the intricate symbolism behind Sharingan's doujutsus. The bloody tears alone said a million words. I can say so much more, but there isn't anything that would express my disappointment at how far the quality has fallen.

Yeah this war arc is really horrible but hey lets see if Madara can have some kind of a redeeming factor in it. Madara really is the only good thing within this entire war anyway. The moment it was revealed Tobi was Obito(which was the most logical and easy guess ever) we all knew he will get TNJ and we all knew it was going to be about Rin in some way. Tobi should have been the elder son of the SO6P imo, it would have been for more interesting but w/e. I do hate the fact that you spend all these years following Naruto and to watch it turn into this is just sad. But as a true fan you can give the manga honest criticism but when you do that people will just label you a "hater" which is a popular term these days when you dislike anything with a honest opinion even without the trolling.

I was exaggerating. Change Appreciate to Enjoy if you like. I'm one of the only people being positive about what's happening in these kind of threads anyway. Haven't seen many others but it's simply because i'm a big Obito fan and adore the development of his character. The chapters which made me this annoyed were the ones the Gokage were revived, Kakashi beat Obito (didn't and still doesn't make sense to me) and the filler flashbacks, they killed the tension. (Hashirama's was the worst) so it's not as if I don't understand what these guys are thinking right now.

It'll all look better in the anime or in the shiny official Volumes where we don't have them week by week to be scrutinised, predicted, analysed and reviewed the crap out of.

The Kakashi-Obito fight? I didn't even care. At all.
The Hashirama flashback, I thought, was necessary simply because it gave further insight of how disgusting Konoha is and ignorance like the one's on display now are in the villages roots.
The Gokage? Don't even get me started.............
And EVERYBODY hates filler. =D

I would've had him kill Guy in Neji's place and then murder Kakashi in the Kamui dimension and bringing him back to show Naruto and Minato. That would've been so much more menacing and integral to the character's downfall than Neji Hyuuga. I also hated all the Hokage chapters, Minato is so f*cking boring and ruins whatever fights or chapters he's in.

The 3 characters I wanted to see dead all passed this war with A*s in doing absolutely nothing and watching on the sidelines. Gold goes to Kakashi, Silver to Guy and Bronze to Killer Bee. Man, what could've been.

I do agree that it sucks, but I didn't expect something amazing, so it wasn't too bad. It was like I was prepared for disappointment so it didn't affect me anywhere near as badly as it normally would.

This war arc have lose alot of people interest in the series.I am not bashing kishimoto work but i feel he transfering his real life issues into his work and not making his manga with passion.Alot of member had better prediction than him ever week
