The gold is only for defense and for making weapons. I don't remember Kidomaru mixing it with the webs. Catching Sasuke in it isn't going to be a simple task. Once the webs are coming Sasuke's way he can just dodge. Sasuke can only use chidori twice, but he can maintain it for a good amount of time.
