If he could destroy the webs with katon why did he use amaterasu?

He wanted to be certain? Idk? He had EMS at the time so Amaterasu wasn't a big deal to him chakra-wise (he used it to deal with fodder zetsu clones). I'm pretty sure silk is flammable.

No...amaterasu uses up more chakra...why would he waste chakra?
From what we know, only gentle fist and amaterasu are capable of dealing with those webs...nothing else

It's ridiculous to hype up those webs to the point where only amaterasu and gentle fist can counter it. For example a bijuudama would obliterate it. I'm certain now, spider silk IS flammable.

He used Amaterasu because Itachi remarks in the same page that they aren't "normal webs", he used Amaterasu out of caution.

Clearly it's not the same as real spider silk though was what I was saying. The durability of this is ridiculous.
