Description: The user creates a dome of earth, which protects them from external attacks. The domes shape is in a similar fashion to wood release: wood locking walls. That creates a half face dome.
Strong points
  • - This jutsu is very similar to the last jutsu. This one also provides 360 degree protection. -
  • - The jutsu is quick acting in that no hand seals or complicated gestures are required. -
  • - The dome can be used to conceal your moves as well as protect you. -
Weak points
  • - As with the last jutsu the dome can only extend out to short range and its height is limited. -
  • - The dome will completely block your view of the outside where the last jutsu only partially obscured your view. -
  • - The dome with keep you from making an immediate counterattack.-
Combinations-strategies I think this jutsu is a great defense in the rain. Rain is wide spread so this jutsu is ideal for defending against it. It is also well suited for protection against wind gusts. Their is not much this jutsu can't defend against. Of course the strength of an opponents jutsu has to be taken into consideration.

Ways to counter this technique As with the last one you can destroy the dome with any equivalently powerful elemental jutsu. The jutsu should be widespread however. When you see the dome you should change your position as to not become a static target.

Questions Can I form only a part of the dome? For example if I want to protect my blindside can I form half of the dome so I'm protected but I can still see in front of me?

Strong points
  • - Great range. Even if the opponent can defend themselves it keeps them away from you or slows them down. -
  • - Unlike the C rank version of the tech with the one multiple bullets can be fired. Also unlike the C rank version this jutsu can damage an opponent and blind them. -
  • - Can be used very quickly. Jutsu that are formed from the mouth like streams and bullets are the fastest jutsu to use. -
Weak points
  • - As you stated the jutsu loses strength as you fire more bullets. -

Combinations-strategies I really like using jutsu from the mouth in short range. In short range it is really difficult to dodge a bullet of any type. By firing multiple bullets this jutsu can also be used to intercept multiple projectiles such as weapons and other elemental blasts. If nothing else at long range your opponent is forced to defend themselves or evade the jutsu.

Ways to counter this technique You can fire multiple projectiles to intercept the bullets. If it's more than one bullet I wouldn't try to evade them. You can also use a more powerful wide spread techniques such as a strong wind gust to stop all the bullets at once. By countering like this you also gain the advantage of not having to stop your movement to defend. In general fast paced techniques are recommended for defense against this jutsu. Bullets are fast.

  • - The wave can be used to lift you off the ground and avoid attacks from below. While doing this it lets you begin a counter attack as well. -
  • - The wave has great flexibility in that it can be molded and moved in a number of ways. -

  • - This jutsu takes a little time to perform since it requires 3 hand seals. -
  • - Full concentration is required to maintain the wave. If an opponent attacks you while on the wave then you have to release it to defend yourself.-
  • - don't have another disadvantage. -
Combinations-strategies I don't think this is the best jutsu to trap an opponent with. I think faster jutu exist for this purpose. I see as a mainly brute force attack jutsu. You could however force your opponent into the air by directing the wave at their feet.

Ways to counter this technique You should have time to see the wave coming and choose to evade or defend against it. To evade it you can go into the air. If I did this I would go in the air sideways to avoid being in the direct path of the wave. You can also destroy the wave with any number of elemental jutsu. Unlike the water wave the earth wave is solid so it is easier to destroy. If an opponent is riding the wave you could elect to go to the top of the wave and attack them.

Questions What happens if I use swamp of the underworld or form a giant pool while someone is riding this jutsu?

Yes and well it depends of rank you can do it with the mud swamp since its A-Rank and it overpowers.

Description: A trap technique in which the user will place somewhere and is activated upon contact with the opponent's chakra. The user uses a scroll to lay the trap in which releases mud that forms into the shape of wolves that will attack the enemy target/s. Despite being damaged the wolves can reform which can keep the enemy occupied to allow the enemy make a getaway. (Can only create a maximum of 3 mud wolves)
Note: Takes one turn to set the trap up and wolves only last two turns

The user will place a scroll somewhere around the terrain with your chakra infused, after one turn the scroll will be released and summon wolves made of mud. The more scrolls you set the more wolves that come out, 3 is the maximum. When the wolves are released they will charge at the opponent with great speed, this wolves moves by your will, you tell them what to do, but during the duration you do you can't use another technique because you must remain focused on the wolfs. Lastly a great ability is any attack they take which is taijutsu,kenjutsu, or any low ranked attack the wolfs can reform. This is a great jutsu to set up attacks and combos to a great extent.

Description: This Technique coats the users body with stones, making them much more resistant to attacks, at the cost of their speed. Whilst using this technique, the user can even change their appearance, but once the technique is either defeated or worn off the users original appearance is shown. The user whilst in this armor is resistant to A rank normal ninjutsu but is vulnerable to Lightning Techniques.

A armor made of rocks and stones gathered from your chakra. This armor can take some serious damage for the user so its a great defense based technique. Its resistant to mostly all A-Rank ninjutsu but vulnerable to Lightning. Now with the armor on you can change your appearance to fool an opponent but it only lasts until it breaks or wears off. Lastly the rocks give you a increase of mass so you will have extra force behind kicks and punches but lowers your speed. The armor constantly saps chakra from you for every turn you leave it active.




(Doton Kekkai: Dorō Dōmu) - Earth Style Barrier: Earth Prison of Magnificent Nothingness

Description: After striking the ground with their hands, the user overturns the earth, causing it to rise up around his opponent(s). Then, by placing his/her hands against the dome, the user is able to drain out the chakra from the people trapped inside and absorb it into their own body. At the same time, the user will use their own chakra to spread throughout the dome. This allows the user to repair any damage their opponent(s) manage to inflict on the inside.

The user will create a dome which will trap the enemy, when trapped use will place his hand and send chakra surging through the whole dome, this makes the dome begin to drain out the chakra of the opponent in their own body. This is a great technique to add some chakra to your reserve if already lost and you can hold it for as long as you want until the opponent is dead or made a counter. Now this is a simple technique to counter a simple nagashi will have the power to destroy the dome. Bad thing is you must keep your hand on the dome.

  • - As the jutsu says the wolves can be reformed over and over. This makes the jutsu suitable for escape or group battles. As you said the wolves can also be used to continuously block taijutsu or kenjutsu attacks. -
  • - The scroll can be placed anywhere and if performed correctly his jutsu can be somewhat secretive.-
Weak points
  • - Can only be used in short range. -
  • - It takes a full turn to set up the attack. By then your opponent might not be within short range of you. -
  • - You can't perform another jutsu while controlling the wolves. This means you can't perform an additional attack and the wolves are your only defense. -
Combinations-strategies You can hide the scroll secretly and then the wolves will be released one turn later. This is pretty easy to accomplish. For example you could form an earth dome to protect against an attack and then hide the scroll while under the dome. You can also use the terrain to your advantage to hide the scroll. I don't see this much as an attack jutsu but the wolves can provide a quick defense or a distraction for a quick escape.

Ways to counter this technique Since the wolves can reform attacking them continuously is not advantageous. The wolves can only attack in short range so you can move to mid or long range and avoid them. If you can't readily move to mid or long range then you could flood the battlefield with water. The wolves won't be able to move on a pool of water.

Combinations-strategies This is best used as a defense jutsu. Among defensive jutsu I think it's one of the fastest. I would use this to protect against wide spread attacks or attacks from my blind side. Unlike the earth dome this jutsu doesn't block your sight.

Ways to counter this technique The jutsu makes the opponent more powerful but they are slow. As long as you keep a safe distance you can avoid being hit by the opponent. You can destroy the amour with A-rank ninjutsu or lightning jutsu. I could also flood the battlefield with a large and wide spread water jutsu. The armor will only protect what it touches and an opponent won't be able to swim with the amour on.

  • - You lose sight of your opponent. This can allow them to do something secretive under the dome. -
Combinations-strategies To be honest I wouldn't use this jutsu. The small amount of chakra absorption is worth the risk of getting hit by your opponents counter attack. However if you have your opponent immobilized somehow it might be safe to form this dome.

Ways to counter this technique As you said the best way to counter is with a lightning tech like nagashi. You can also use other elemental jutsu to destroy the dome. The dome should be destroyed as quickly as possible before the opponent can spread their chakra throughout it. Also, using a large scale counter attack would guarantee that the opponent was hit by it.

Description: After performing the Snake hand seal the user will channel their chakra throughout their entire body, which then hardens their skin to a steel-like quality. This increases their defensive power to the utmost limits. The user’s skin also becomes much darker, an almost black colour. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.

Another great armor. The user will do the snake hand seal and channel doton chakra throughout the entire body turning the skin into steel-like substance. The users skin becomes darker as well. With the armor you can withstand B-Rank attacks but is vulnerable to lightning. With the armor the user gain ferocious strength. Its great to not only block but attack as well, note you will have your speed lowered slightly. Also you can still use jutsus with the armor, but the armor stays active one turn.

Very quick jutsu to use, the user slams their hands on the ground and rise under the opponent a giant rock section which will hit the opponents feet with force hurting them badly then launch the opponent in the air. From their you can attack a opponent where they are vulnerable in the air. Before the rock rise, you can feel the density of the earth slightly begin to harden. Easy technique right after you send the chakra to the ground to rise the rock you can go onto the next technique.

Description: The user creates an opening within the sky, which drips down onto the opponent a large amount of mud, covering them. It’s normally followed up by Lightning release: sixteen pillar bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire release: Firing biscuit technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.

The user will open up a portal from the sky and allow a very sticky mud drop down onto the opponent. It is very large and has a large quantity. When the opponent is covered it will be virtually impossible to move since the mud is sticky and restricts movement to a large extent. Its great to use with combos and can be used to distract a opponent allowing it to drip if its sunny outside, a shade will go over the opponent. You can use it as a distraction if the opponent notices to attack them. Also as said in the description you can use it in conjunction with the lightning and fire jutsu mentioned above.

Combinations-strategies This has a lot of use for taijutsu users and in cqc in general. You can quickly increase your attack power or defend against a taijutsu or kenjutsu attack. I would mainly use this jutsu if I wanted to defend my self without stopping my attack.

Ways to counter this technique As the jutsu says the best way to counter this armor is with lightning. You can also use other powerful ninjutsu to destroy the armor. If you see your opponents skin turn darker stay out of short range of them.

Ways to counter this technique Since you can feel the vibrations the best counter to this jutsu is evasion. You can launch yourself into the air and avoid the jagged rock. You can also infuse lightning into the ground which will stop the formation of the rock.

I could also use this jutsu if the opponent was in the air. It would be harder to dodge in the air and the mud would be closer to the opponent.

Ways to counter this technique The best defense in this case is evasion. Use a jutsu such as a powerful wind jutsu to push you to long range. If you can't move out of the way in time then you have to overpower the jutsu with a more powerful ninjutsu. A wide spread powerful wind jutsu could do the trick.

Description: The user creates a giant, boar-shaped, earthen lid high in the air that falls on the target, trapping them underneath.

Another attack from above, very quick to summon and quite large. Can cover a whole 5 meters radius. You can use it as a distraction if the opponent notices to attack them. You can make a combo to attack in all areas and sides of the opponent. It acts to trap the opponent, if trapped you can send a powerful underground or straight to the lid to destroy the lid as well as the opponent.





(Doton: KageBunshin no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Shadow Clone Technique

Description: This technique creates a shadow clone made of mud of the user. Since its made of mud, it can continue to reform and mould itself back to its original shape. After reverting to mud, it can hold the opponent in place. The user can create upto three clones. They can also use up to C rank earth techniques.

A clone made of mud of the user. This clones can move around and use basic body and sword attacks as well as only C-Rank doton. Since the clone is made of mud it can withstand attacks and reform, it depends on the attack sent of course. If its really powerful it might not reform back. This is great to always have a extra man on the field, you can use diversion, distractions, do combos you normally can't do. Also it can take hits for you, the clone acts on the will of the user.




(Doton: Musaborudzuchi) – Earth Release: Devouring Earth

Description: The user performs the Ram → Horse → Tiger → Rabbit → Snake and slams their palm on the ground. Instantly, the ground to the sides of the opponent take the shape of huge jaws and attempt to crush and stab him between them.

One of my favorite techniques in earth. After performing the 5 hand seals and slamming your hands on the ground, the earth will begin to shake due to two very large sections of rock jaws that rise on each flank of the opponent, they rise quickly and will try to crush the opponent. Its a great jutsu to attack both flanks at once, and make it hard on the opponent, the shake of the ground might force the opponent to lose balance but not fall over. Right when you slam your hands you can move onto the next jutsu, so this jutsu has great combo abilities and is very powerful if used good enough.

  • - It will take some time and a powerful jutsu for the opponent to defend themselves. -

  • - Since the lid is dropped for high in the sky the opponent will have time to come up with a counter.-
  • - The jutsu can be evaded by going underground. -
  • - This jutsu is too awesome to have another weakness. -
Combinations-strategies I like dropping the lid from the sky and then using a earth jutsu that affects the ground below the opponent. As you stated this also serves as a nice distraction for you to get ready for other jutsu or to conceal yourself.

Ways to counter this technique You can go underground to avoid the jutsu. If your very quick you might be able to outrun the lid, but it's not likely. If you want to stay in place you can use a ninjutsu to tear a portion of the lid right above you or you can just destroy the whole lid.

Description: This technique creates a shadow clone made of mud of the user. Since its made of mud, it can continue to reform and mold itself back to its original shape. After reverting to mud, it can hold the opponent in place. The user can create up to three clones. They can also use up to C rank earth techniques.

  • - Their is a lot of attacks available with an earth clone. They can perform C Rank Doton jutsu and as you said are an extra man on the field.-
  • - The clone can take some attacks and reform itself since it is made of mud. -
  • - The clone can be used to trap an opponent. -
Weak points
  • - Like the water clone the earth clone has to stay within short range of you or else it will disperse. -
  • - Not really a disadvantage but the clone can only use up to C rank Doton jutsu which is a little limiting. -

Combinations-strategies There are many strategies to having earth clone/s around. As you mentioned they can be used to defend against an attack. I like the idea of trapping an opponent in mud. Maybe a clone could be formed at the surface of the ground like it was slightly buried so the opponent doesn't notice it. Then when the opponent steps over it they are trapped in mud. Or you can use the clone to perform simultaneous attacks with you.

Ways to counter this technique This really depends on what the clones are doing, but if you want to destroy them you should use a jutsu that is a few ranks stronger than them. In this way the jutsu will be sure to kill the clones. You could also stay out of short range of your opponent.

Combinations-strategies I see this as a good jutsu to keep your distance from your opponent. You can slam your hand on the ground and then fire a powerful projectile at your opponent. They will have to defend against the jaws first with you jutsu fast approaching.

Ways to counter this technique Watch for the hand seals and lift yourself off the ground with a rock pillar or a wind jutsu. If you can't do that then you can infuse a large amount of lightning into the ground and disrupt the jaws from forming. I don't think you have enough time to destroy the jaws once they form.

A trapping jutsu, the user will perform one hand seal and summon a cavern to trap the opponent in. If you want you can leave a small opening to allow attacks but that means the opponent can also attack, or you can leave it completely close to trap the opponent and suffocate due to lack of oxygen if they stay in long enough. Though even though they are trapped you can still use a very powerful technique yourself to both trap leaving no open spaces and attack. Its fast to perform and raises quickly off the ground.

Upon being dragged to the centre, the victim will then be sucked underground. There the victim, depending on how deep the user makes them sink, will be trapped and/or suffocated. The range of the pit is determined by how much chakra is put into the technique.

Another favorite, the user will do one hand seal and create a pit close to the opponents area. The pit begins to cave in on itself. Rapidly spinning around with great speed and sucking everything in, in the area. This is a great jutsu to for an opponent to lose balance, it moves so fast he will be unable to move in the area. I also consider this technique a "Last Resort". What I mean by that is if their is ever a time you are blinded or unable to see the opponent, by using this jutsu, since it covers a long and wide range it will most likely catch the opponent in. So use it wisely. Two major notes you must keep focus on the Antlion as well as make sure you make the pit mid/long range of yourself since you will be sucked in as well if you don't.

The user will gather chakra and release it around their body. Then they will lift up the very surface of the earth, the earth is very large. The earth is then launched at the opponent as a projectile its quite simple and effective though when you try to grab it out the ground it might take some time, a second or two so be weary because the opponent can take advantage of the vulnerability.

Combinations-strategies I would use this in conjunction with a technique that affected the ground below such as swamp of the underworld. That way the opponent would only be able to escape by destroying the cavern. Or with that strategy we discussed the other day. I could also use this to momentarily conceal my movements and hide.

Ways to counter this technique The simplest way is to destroy the dome. Or as stated above you can possibly escape into the ground. Like with a lot of earth jutsu you need to use a wide scale ninjutsu to completely destroy the dome or just use a ninjutsu to destroy enough for you to get out.

Combinations-strategies I would use world shaking or another similar jutsu to make my opponent lose balance and fall on the ground before forming the Antlion. Also if your opponent is immobilized this is a nice and safe way to finish them off.

Ways to counter this technique I would use anything to get off of the ground. An earth pillar, wind stream something. Depending on how deep the pit is you might be able to plug it up with a quick large quantity water or earth jutsu.

Combinations-strategies not a big fan of this jutsu. Too many flaws to exploit. If I were to use it i would do so in conjunction with a partner or a clone. Or if my opponent was immobilized or couldn't attack me for some reason.

Ways to counter this technique The best way is to evade it by going underground or if your fast by going into the air to one side of the rock. You could use a lightning jutsu to destroy the rock before the opponent can throw it. You could use world shaking to make your opponent lose their balance and have the rock fall on them.

Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall. Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against, for instance, fire and water. Hizuren Sarutobi spits mud from his mouth to perform the jutsu whilst Kakashi creates a wall composed of bulldog sculptures to box-in Pain.

The user will perform the required hand seals and either spit out a mud base which rises out a hard wall or you can manipulate preexisting earth to release a wall to rise of regular size (3-5 meters). This wall is very dense and can protect against basic techniques with ease. Now their is not much to say about the wall due to its basis, but be sure that when you do rise the wall remember you will not be able to see through it, so you will most likely lose vision of the opponent.

This though might not seem much is a great technique. The user is able to blend their being inside of rocks, both natural rocks and chakra based rocks made of B-Rank or lower. Now the opponent unless sensory type or dojutsu user will not be able to notice your position, you can easily do a snick attack with it, you can evade techniques using it. Also stake out with it, allowing you time to prepare for combos and plan attack. Great technique to give yourself sometime. If the opponent somehow figures out, be weary and anticipate that he will most likely use a raiton jutsu to kill you, since its very vulnerable.

Another basic technique, the user will do one hand seal and condense the mud or stone under the opponents location. After the ground is condensed, basically a second after the hand seal. A spear will protrude out of the ground at a very fast pace. The spear will pierce the opponent from below and send them into the air where they will be vulnerable. After you do the hand seal you can move onto the next jutsu.

Combinations-strategies Once I defend with the wall I would do something I wouldn't normally do with my opponent watching. I could form a clone and have them come out from the side of the wall while I hide behind it. Or I could use hiding like a mole or a similar jutsu to conceal my location. I could also use an earth jutsu to move the wall and lunge it towards my opponent if it isn't destroyed.

Ways to counter this technique The simplest way is to destroy the wall. You will need to use a powerful jutsu since the wall is thick. Lightning is best suited for this while wind and water would be largely ineffective. You can also attack the ground below the wall and make it fall over or attack the ground below your opponent and bypass the wall.

Ways to counter this technique Really the only way to counter this is to uncover this jutsu. If you have chakra sensing or are a dojutsu user this is easy. If you somehow suspect your opponent is hiding you can use a large scale jutsu and that will most likely flush them out.

Combinations-strategies Most opponent's are going to be skilled enough to protect from this jutsu alone. However as the spikes protrude from the ground your free to start your next jutsu. I imagine most people would concentrate on protecting their body with a hardening jutsu. Therefore you are free to attack the ground below them turning it into mud or using another jutsu to attack from the ground. You could also follow this with world shaking and make the opponent lose their balance and fall on one of the spikes.

Ways to counter this technique Use can use a earth hardening technique to protect your body. If you have time you can infuse lightning into the ground to stop the creation of the spikes. If your fast enough you can completly evade the spikes by going up in the air.

Just removing a single vital stone throws off the balance of the cave, making it unexpectedly fragile and causing a domino effect that destroys the entire cave. The shinobi from Iwagakure use this technique in their pride tactic, luring several enemies into a cave to kill them all at once.

After doing 3 hand seals the user will channel doton chakra throughout a cave and loosen it to an extreme extent. This will make the cave extremely sensitive and will begin to cave in the moment an opponent does a disturbance in the cave. This is a great jutsu to attack more then one opponent, trying to lure them in a cave by using a distracting or placing a shadow clone in a cave and have the opponent get in close to you, then you can easily make the cave, cave-in. The opponent(s) if caught will easily be severely hurt. The cave-in is like a Domino effect starting from one end and begins to fall everywhere through the length of the cave. This is a location based technique, if their is no caves in the area, its useless. This jutsu can work even in the largest of caves.

Description: The user will send chunks of rock at the opponent and then using a fire style technique and cause them to explode on contact with the enemy.

This is a great projectile based technique and very simple as well. The user will send chunks of rocks (2-4) towards the opponent and then send a stream of fire towards the rocks engulfing them in flames. This will have impact and burn effect, which means the opponent will be pushed back from the rocks as well as burned in the area hit. Its a nice jutsu to force the opponent in having to make a quick reaction. If the opponent tries douse the flames the rocks will still be their, its a very tough move to counter on your feet, best to use lightning. The rocks acts as base for the fire. Also the fire added to the rocks are apart of the move, so no need to perform a fire technique just channel katon chakra towards the rocks. You can aim this rocks towards anywhere at the opponent, note the more you send the weaker each are.




(Doton: Denki Iwabashira) - Earth Release: Electric Rock Pillar

Description: The user will make a set of four hand seals and then will place their hand on the ground to create a pillar of earth rise up from the ground. This pillar is also given a electrical charge that causes electric bolts to emit from the pillar up to short range shocking any targets in the vicinity.

This is a different jutsu we are used to in the doton list. The user will quickly rise pillars from the ground by placing their hands on the ground. The pillars are able to send a electrical charge of lightning bolts towards the opponent. The pillars can be created short-mid range and the lightning bolts move short range from where the pillars are made. You can make more then one pillar but that means the lightning bolts become weaker (2-4 pillars). It is great to set up a defense, but you have to focus your chakra on the pillars to send the bolts. The pillars are also sharp enough to stab the opponent and then shock them.

Ways to counter this technique The most obvious way to evade this jutsu is to fight near the entrance of a cave. If you are in a cave when someone uses this jutsu then you can protect yourself with rock/steel armor. You can also form a strong dome to protect yourself or go into the ground to escape.

You can also match the opponents rocks with projectiles of your own. If you want to stay in place you can defend with a earth wall or similar jutsu.

Combinations-strategies I could see this being used in the rain. If your fighting on the ground and it's been raining awhile chances are puddles have formed. You can act like your trying to hit your opponent with the spikes but in reality send the lightning into the puddles to electrocute them.

Ways to counter this technique As with all pillars you can feel a vibration before they hit. You can use a earth pillar or wind stream to lift yourself off the ground (recommend if water is around) to dodge the electrical pillar. I'm not sure since the pillar is infused with electricity if you can channel your lightning chakra into the ground and stop the pillar from forming. If you don't have time to evade you can destroy the pillar with a strong burst of wind. I don't think earth armor is good since the pillar can electrocute you.

Questions Does the spike + lightning = B Rank or does the spike by itself equal B Rank?

Okay the user will summon large floating cubes (2-4), that are 2 meters squared from the ground to revolve around the user acting as a barrier to attacks and then the user will send the cubes towards the opponent. This is the type of jutsu that kills two birds with one stone. You can though use it for just defense or attack, mainly depending on the situation your in. The more cubes you make the weaker each are, they act as a push type attack. When you send it towards the opponent, it will try to push them back and brake some bones. I like how it reaches all ranges and after you send the cubes they become projectiles. Also you must be on the ground to use this jutsu.

Combinations-strategies I would use this jutsu and then immediately follow it with a earth jutsu that morphed the ground such as swamp of the underworld. The opponent would be stuck as they couldn't go in the air and the ground wouldn't be safe. This is also a nice jutsu to throw at your opponent after they throw a weapon at you. The rocks block against the weapons without costing you an extra move to defend.

Ways to counter this technique I think a lightning jutsu would work best for defense. Lightning is fast and can quickly crumble the rocks. You could also use other elements to defend but you have to make sure to hit all of the rocks. As stated before you can defend yourself by creating a powerful gust of wind to blow the rocks back at your opponent.

An interesting technique. After performing the hand seals and placing hands on the ground the user will summon a very large 4 meter tall wall which acts as an arena that surrounds the user and opponent. Its 15 meters long, making it long range. The wall are very weak and a basic attack towards them will disperse the walls. This is great to alter the terrain in your favor depending on how the opponent and yourself is using it. Its good to stop an opponent from pushing back to evade your attacks. They are virtually going to be trapped and unable to move around freely. You get an even higher advantage if you are faster then the opponent. It can also break the opponent away from resources he/she might depend on, like a water source if they are a hardcore water user.

  • - The walls surround a very wide area. I could see this jutsu being used by the Nara clan. -
  • - The formation of the arena drastically changes the terrain. If your opponent is using something on the terrain to their advantage you can take it away.-

  • - As you stated the walls are easily broken and disappear into smoke when this happens. Your not going to trap you opponent for long with this jutsu. -

Combinations-strategies I would use this jutsu to form walls all around my opponent and then follow it up with a large scale jutsu. This could be a giant wave, large fire storm, or a powerful gust to name a few options. The opponent would be forced to break the walls to escape, and even though the walls break easily it still takes time to break them. As you said you can also use this jutsu to try and keep your opponent away from something on the battle field.

Ways to counter this technique I'm unsure of how to counter this because I don't understand how the walls do damage. One the walls are formed they are easy to break. You can use a jutsu to break the walls or you can do it free form with a paper bomb.

Questions How does this damage an opponent? Do you always have to form the wall with the user at the center? For example if I'm 4 m away from my opponent can I form the wall so that it is 1 m behind my opponent and 10 m behind me?

Its purpose is not really to harm the opponent but to force them at a disadvantage.
Also no you don't always have to be in the center but you and the opponent must be inside for it to be summoned properly.

This technique can also effectively create barricades that would take quite some time for a regular person to surmount.

Basic technique, after the opponent does the hand seals and slams their hands on the ground, earth will begin to violently jag up from the ground and erupt towards the targets feet like a stream, meaning you must keep your hands on the ground until it gets to the opponents feet. Now when it reaches the opponent rocks will begin to jag up and hit the feet on the opponent injuring them and hurting their speed, they will also lose balance at the same time most likely falling to the ground. The tear through the earth travels very quickly. Also you can anticipate the opponents evasion will be to jump up into the air so using a above attack as a combo would be good. It takes some time to perform. Its basic in its abilities but can be put to good use.

Combinations-strategies I don't think I would use this jutsu very much. As you said though you could fire a blast into the air and then perform this jutsu directly after. The opponent would be trapped from going into the air and these rocks would form below him. If your opponent is running towards you this is a good jutsu to use. They have to take time to defend themselves or evade.

Ways to counter this technique You can use a wide scale lighting jutsu and fire it into the ground stopping further creation of the rocks. You could also form a large wave and lift your self off the ground completely avoiding the rocks. This gives you the advantage of being off the ground while not leaving yourself open like with a wind jutsu.

Its a basic projectile technique very fast to perform and simple. The user will rise a rock from the ground which from their you can use as a shield and/or attack the opponent with it as a projectile making it combo friendly. Its most noticeable abilities is it moves a long range and its fast moving as well. Other then this its quite basic and simple.
