Yes ,most of us know what Prime means , but to be saying Prime Itachi > set character is retarded , we never saw Itachi at his prime or hiruzen for example , he was only hyped , just stick to what we've seen so far from each character & :

Yeah this is why i'm confused because nothing has changed other than the whole life span thing and her age. I've never really thought about what prime should be considered as though, i've never really used it in discussions.

Me neither, just go with the flow.

This is how I define "prime" as well U_U

That's pretty much my definition of Prime

I guess we have different definitions of 'prime'.

I always thought prime meant a character with all of their abilities at their disposal with none of their handicaps.

But I guess you could say that those characters aren't 'canon' I guess. It doesn't really matter.

If that's prime, then the prime of humanity is when we went and colonized the galaxy as we know it... but obviously we haven't done that so it isn't our prime. It's our pinnacle or peak, but only hypothetically.

Prime is defined as "the period in life when a person is best in health, strength, etc. : the most active or successful time of a person's life." You can't judge a prime based on events that haven't happened, as you would literally create God every time.

Yep...

And we still can't logically assume that Itachi was sick in Part I because there is no indication of what the illness was and how fast it spread. He could have been perfectly healthy when he one shotted Kakashi (which to me, would be a "prime" worthy feat) and got sick somewhere in between that and his battle with Sasuke.

Also, the "prime" Hiruzen bullshit.

Orochimaru and two fodder ANBU, along with himself only noting that the Adamantine Staff was heavier, made one little comment about how his chakra levels depleted, but that doesn't necessarily mean "weaker".

In that timespan, from where he was physically more "able" and the point he fought Orochimaru, he gained more experience, could have had more jutsu etc which would make up for his loss of strength/chakra.

Hm, you're overcomplicating things my man. I see prime the same way you do, the pinnacle of a person's health and strength. The reason why I said I agree with -Sky-, is because at a person's prime, the pinnacle of their strength, they should be able to use all their abilities at that time with no kinds of handicaps, that's what I was getting at. And I'm looking at this from "Naruto" manga POV, not real life itself.

From Naruto Manga POV "Prime" of a person isn't simply one day... it is couple of years.

my way of using the meaning prime:when a person was the most powerful.....for example....obito is juubi jinchuuriki-his prime.

obito loses the juubi-no prime anymore

How did you interpret that from what I said? :| You said such an obvious thing, it wouldn't make sense for someone to be in their prime for one day and all of the sudden they're not. Of course prime is a couple of years, I imagine a person to be able to stay in their prime at least for 5 years before an ability that's useful for them begins to deteriorate.

there was never a time in the series where a "prime" Nagato/Itachi existed, and i mean the "prime" that some fans are talking about (like you said bro).

Prime = a period of time where the character was at the peak of his/her power/youth/best.

so you can say that we saw Nagato/Itachi's "prime", coz a mobile/living Nagato with full control/mastery over his Rinnegan is IMAGINARY/fanmade, the same can be said for what they call a "healthy Itachi" with full control/mastery over his Sharingan (never existed).

The fanmade primes never existed. However the characters themselves do have their primes in the manga.

Seeing as "-Sky-" agrees with "prime Kabuto" who was only in that state for a short time... It is only a good assumption that you also are implying that.

But with how your look at prime in this post.. it is different from how -Sky- looks at it.

that's true and we already saw the LIVING Itachi/Nagato "prime".

I guess people have the obligation to make their character free of any restraints, even it it means creating a character that isn't in the manga. It will be funny to see if someone starts using "PRIME Hashirama" lol.

Don't assume, it makes you look foolish when you're wrong. :yay: It's different but it's not that different
