Question regarding IZanami

What idiot came up with the concept that Izanami only works on people who don't know what they want or don't know themselves?

Izanami key role is deciding someone fate

Meaning.... No matter what the circumstances is Izanami can be used to lock a person inside it while the caster can set it to whatever they want. It's original purpose was used to Decide fate (IE counter for someone using izanagi to change it)

It short: IT forces a fate on someone.

Stop saying that ridiculous crap about Izanami only works on people who dont know themselves. Come on naruto base. I know everyone doesn't think this way but the folks that do really need to learn comprehension


Furthermore: Itachi (Being a pacifist) used Izanami in that way to help Kabuto so he did not become like Solo king

well at first i felt like i knew what izanami was cause at the time it was shown i thought that the explanation was gud

but now all of a sudden i dont know what izanami is capable of or on who this technique can be used

have to say though at the time from what i could make out i did feel like it was to cast on those people who were having extremist ideas of power ( and have lost sight of who they actually are)

-Kabuto with all his genetic mods
-Izanagi users trying to change their fate
-Obito trying to run from reality
-etc.

The manga states it very clear emphasizing the fact that The Uchiha used it for the better of their kinsmen
(Itachi specifically explained this already)

So in actually people should be asking you where YOU got your version of Izanami because it certainly ain't the one in naruto

So not only is your warped version of events wrong the thing your touting as the main use of izanami is one of things it was NOT used for because it was impractical to do so.

Itachi only made use of it inside combat because he was already dead and sustain blows needed to set up the justu.

Basically going off that definition Kabuto should not have been trapped in Izanami... As I said. Izanami use is to decide fate but was USED on people who did not accept themselves aka Izanagi users

What i said was a fact stated by the manga. You're just picking 1 word itachi said for dramatic effect. The manga literally said

"To stop people from running away from the results they created"
In other words, trying to change their fate/run away from reality/run away from the results of their actions. That's why it worked on kabuto, because he kept trying to change himself too much. Your 'fate' crap is not the purpose of izanami. Not everyone can be trapped by it, and even if they were, the first sequence to being trapped by it -- as stated by the scan i posted -- is to move from your outcome( X ), to a new desired outcome ( O ) to initiate the endless loop. If you never even begin to move to O, you'll never be trapped in the first place.
