Basic Information
Name: Lucrecia Crescent Valentine
Nickname: Scientist, Doctor
Gender: Female
Age: 111 (looks 27)
Clan:The Valentine Family

Looks:
Lucrecia has long chestnut hair pulled up into a high ponytail with her bangs partly covering her left eye. The top of the ponytail is wrapped in a strip of yellow cloth that has begun to visibly deteriorate. Her eyes are chocolate brown. She wears a white lab coat, light blue blouse, asymmetrical dark blue skirt and red kitten heels with a silver anklet on her left ankle.
In addition to this she wears Mephistopheles’ sword on her back and other weapons strapped to her belt.

Personality:
Lucrecia suffers from a guilt complex, blaming herself for everything that has gone wrong over the course of her life. She has a kind and caring soul, though she has a tendency to believe only what she wants to believe. Most of the time she tends to care more about the ones close to her than about herself, which makes it difficult for her to take good care of herself.
Due to being a Valentine, however, she mostly seems cold and misanthropic. Over the years she has become more misanthropic as she watched humanity change and began to understand more and more about how the world works. Time has made her colder, but made her appreciate the ones close to her more.

History :

I: Childhood
Lucrecia grew up being the only child of two loving parents, both of which were scientists. Her parents worked hard and were away a lot, so Lucrecia learnt from a very young age to be alone and take good care of herself. She always was a good kid and never caused any trouble. When she was old enough to understand what her parents were researching, they took her with them to the lab, teaching her how to work there so she could help them. She liked the work and became more and more involved. Since both of her parents were well-known scientists, working for a big, well-known company, no one could know Lucrecia was around most of the time, learning about the medical and chemical experiments, and mostly successes, the company did. She knew she could not tell anyone, but since she had been living isolated from many other kids in the great village Amegakure, she had no one to tell it to anyway. Since this was a long time ago, the security was less difficult to avoid, and being very stealthy and good at sneaking around, Lucrecia had no problems sneaking in and out whenever she pleased. Her parents trusted her to be alone most of the time and to go wherever she felt like going, so she wandered around much. The only place where she always could be found when she wasn’t at home or in the lab was Crystal Cave, which was located near her house. As the name suggests, Crystal Cave is a big cave completely made or crystals deep on the inside. Lucrecia always went there because the crystals were pretty, but also because she felt weirdly at home in the cave.

II: Catastrophe
The older Lucrecia got, the more successful her parents seemed to become. Now, several years later they were both still working for the same company, working on a secret project to make shinobi stronger. Some sort of pills they said that would make them physically stronger and would increase their overall lifespan. This highly secret project had been going on for many years behind closed doors, and with much success so far, they finally decided to let the outside world know about it. Of course, Lucrecia knew of the project all this time, but she never told anyone. And even now the whole world would know about it, she would still proudly keep her mouth shut. She was proud of her parents. In the meantime her parents had taught her to take notes on her research to keep for later and to keep track of process, and so she did. While she did it she learnt a lot about medical ninjutsu and about the lab work, as well as keeping her own records of the research.
A couple of days after releasing the news about the tremendous successes of the project that had been running for years, the group of leading scientists which included Lucrecia’s father decided the pills were ready for experimental use. This meant they would give a group of selected shinobi a pill and see the result, which would be good, they said. Not a week after the start of the experimental phase in the project, bad news was released. A report about four out of ten shinobi dying as a result of this failed experimental phase. The medication that was supposed to make these shinobi close to invincible had made them weak, so weak that they died.
After hearing this news Lucrecia rushed to the laboratory, knowing that people would react quickly to such horrible news, but many people had gathered already to protest against this monstrous experimenting on human beings. She rushed through the crowd, but her parents were escaping already through the back. When she caught up with them they kept running for a while, taking a route towards home she never took before to make sure none of the protestors followed them to find out where they lived.
After a week of receiving death-threats her parents decided it was time to escape all of this misery and prepared to move to Iwagakure.

III: Fresh Start
The long awaited moment arrived as the three arrived in their new home town, Iwagakure. They decided to use a false last name to Rora, to avoid any trouble in their new home. In Iwagakure the sun was shining and there was close to no water, very different from the place they used to call home. Even though her house was more inside of the city now, Lucrecia had a hard time making friends. She was smarter than most children her age and her interests were really different, on top of that she never was good at making friends and felt awkward around the Iwagakurians. Even though they were really friendly, they were different. Not in a way you can describe, but she felt it.
After not too long it seemed like nothing had changed except for the scenery. Lucrecia’s parents were working in a laboratory again and achieved one success after another. Their new namewas soon known all over the country for the great work they did for science. But as they started working towards the same project as before, they suddenly caught the attention of people who recognised them from a photograph in the newspaper for an article about the disaster in the laboratory in Amegakure, and they were fired and hated for the terrible things they had done. Even though it was not necessarily their fault, people need something or someone to hate on, to blame everything on that is wrong. And that were Lucrecia’s parents in that specific moment.

IV: Breaking Point
Time went by without work for Lucrecia's parents as no one wanted to employ what they called 'murderers' and 'dangerous people' and Lucrecia could not find a job either. It didn’t take long before family Rora had to move again, out of the city to a small house in a poor community just outside the big city. Times seemed to be bad for more people as the community seemed to grow. The economy was at an all-time low as it was, but things were predicted to only get worse. More and more people died, it became obvious to everyone and people became more scared than ever, desperately trying to get a job to earn money to support their family and survive themselves. Everything seemed to change for the bad in such a short period of time, it seemed unreal. With no money left, no food and nowhere to go, they were stuck. Still together but stuck somewhere where there is nothing that can help. Of course all the bad luck and the unfriendly circumstances brought nothing but more trouble and all in all did nothing good for the moral of anyone. As if things were not bad enough yet, Lucrecia’s parents started to argue and the arguments did not last long before they turned into fights. Lucrecia just sat in a corner of the room most of the time, listening to her parents fighting. She cried, not only from the outside but from the inside as well. It broke her, seeing what once was such a successful, peaceful family struggling so much and being hurt so much that the end of it was coming near. She could feel it but was not able to submit to it. A month and some days later the breaking point was reached, Lucrecia’s parents divorced. Lucrecia was more devastated than ever and stayed with her mother as her father left for the next city to go to and try again. This was what the fights were about most of the time, moving. Father wanted to move on to the next city to chase success and to finish his loved project, mother on the other hand wanted to build up their lives again, stay on one place for a while and just take any job to get some food and good education and environment for their child. Both had good sides and bad sides of course, and both could be good and work out, but you cannot do both at once. A choice had to be made, but as long as the choice was not made, everything was possible. One cannot foresee what might happen once a choice is made; therefore it is hard to say which one is the right choice and if there is a right choice at all. But father was not good to mother anymore, he drank too much and forgot to care about what was important beside his project. It obviously was better for them to split up, but whoever would wish that?

V: Sudden Goodbye
It took a long time for Lucrecia to get over the divorce of her parents who loved each other so much not too long ago. After that time she was able to accept the fact that she could not change it. Her mother, however, had a tougher time. She still loved that man, and never wanted to lose him, but he left. Lucrecia took good care of her mom, who sunk deep in depression because she lost the man she loved. Lucrecia could understand her mother even though she never experienced the same, she could imagine what it would be like. Yet the only thing they ever heard from him again was that he found another woman, and they were going to get married. He was happy now, happier than he had been in a long time. A letter was all he send with this information. This was too much for her mother, Lucrecia knew this, and thus was nicer to her mom than she normally was. She would get over that man, eventually. She was sure of it.
Lucrecia worked at the grocery store now, to get some money to care for herself and her mother. She worked many hours per day, and had close to no time for herself, but it was all for a good cause. In the few spare hours she got left she learnt to be a shinobi so that when her mom would get some better she would be able to go on missions to get even more money.
As she returned home from work that night, Lucrecia could not find her mom in the house. Wondering where she could have gone, Lucrecia stumbled upon a letter. The letter explained that her mom could not cope with this situation and that she would end her life tonight. She went to the highest building in Iwagakure to end her misery once and for all. At the end of the note, Lucrecia read through her tears that her mother was proud of her, and that she loved her, and that she was sorry for this but she did not want to be a burden any longer, holding Lucrecia back whilst not being able to overcome the grief of being left by the only man she ever loved. Lucrecia dropped the letter upon reading this and ran all the way to Iwagakure’s town centre.

VI: An Angel Cried Out
Lucrecia ran up the building. When she reached the roof she could not breathe anymore. She was completely exhausted but started looking around as if she were possessed. There she was, her mother, all dressed in white, right on the edge and seemingly ready to jump. Lucrecia let out a scream of fear and exhaustion but at the same time relief that it was not too late. Her mother recognised the sound of her voice and turned around, crying. Lucrecia ran to her mom and hugged her tightly as she pulled her away from the edge. Her mother fell to the ground crying and Lucrecia kneeled down next to her. Mother had been crying for quite a while, Lucrecia could see it. Who knows how long she had been up here. Still panting from all the running and with tears rolling down her cheeks, Lucrecia gave her mom a big hug. After a while, they both agreed to go to their home.
Lucrecia made her mother promise to never do that again, and in return she promised her mother to make her proud, and that was her goal. Her mother seemed to be glad to be saved; this was not meant to be the end, just a new start.
The next morning as if it was planned far before, the two packed their bags. They left the small village with as destination Amegakure. They both missed their original home, and they were both sure that life would be a lot better for them there. After all, you cannot keep running from your problems, but this place they were in now was not good. Too much had happened here, too many bad memories for such a short period in their lives tied to this place, so they decided to leave.

VII: For Science, You Monster
After a year of living in Amegakure and after many missions Lucrecia went on, she and her mom lived a comfortable life. But it was time for Lucrecia to do what she always dreamt of doing, and now she had another motivation, to make her mother proud of her. With this in mind, Lucrecia started working as a scientist for a large company in Amegakure named Shinra. No one knew Lucrecia Crescent, as she now was called again, so she had no problem getting the job. She worked as an assistant to Grimoire Valentine. Researching the same kind of things as her parents used to do with Grimoire lead to a new discovery. Not much later, Grimoire and Lucrecia discovered a cave just outside of Amegakure where it was thought something would happen at the appointed time and would cause another major war between the hidden villages. Grimoire already seemed to know more about this, since this seemed to be closely tied to his family, the Valentines. Lucrecia always was fascinated by the large and important history to the Valentine family and Grimoire told her often about their past. The discovery lead to much disruption in the current peace as it leaked out through an unknown source and Grimoire was consequently killed in an attack by people, or rather assassins, who worked for people or nations that were against the use of such experiments, and Lucrecia's research was discarded as pure nonsense and was not continued.

VIII: A Pleasant Surprise

A couple of years later, Lucrecia was appointed to work on the so called ‘Jenova Project’ along with two other successful scientists. This was said to be one of the biggest but most risky projects in at least 50 years, and it should be protected from evildoers that want information, or want to ruin everything for their own causes. The project, however, was closely linked to the research Lucrecia’s parents did and to her own research along with Grimoire as well. During this time, Vincent Valentine, son of Grimoire Valentine, a member of the Department of Administrative Research (which would later be known as the Turks), and was assigned to supervise the project. Lucrecia immediately recognized Vincent as Grimoire's son, and was shocked that Shinra would assign the son of her deceased mentor to supervise her. In spite of this, she still warmly welcomed him. She first kept her distance from him as she had a close bond to Grimoire and Vincent reminded her of him. Apart from that she felt like it was somehow her fault as well that Grimoire was killed.
After a while the two started talking more and more. Lucretia even began spending time with him when they were off work and they became friends. It surprised her how much she had in common with this man and enjoyed every second she spend with him. He listened to her without judging her when she needed someone to be there for her, and she did the same for him, although she kept the fact she knew his father a secret. It didn’t take long before Lucrecia felt like Vincent was more than a friend to her. She fell in love with Vincent and decided she wanted to stay with him. Vincent seemed to feel the same way as over time, they became romantically involved.

IX: Deamons From The Past
After some time, Lucrecia and Vincent decided that they were indeed more than lovers and were very happy together. However, this all fell apart when Vincent found a document pulled up on Lucrecia's computer telling of her time working with Grimoire. Vincent decided to confront Lucrecia and asked her why she never told him about this, she revealed to him she was the one responsible for his death. She felt this way ever since he was killed because no one should have heard about this yet, and on top of that he was not alone. She was not killed either, so why he? Vincent — not seeming to think Lucrecia was responsible as much as she does — attempted to counsel her. This attempt was in vain, as Lucrecia felt even guiltier for Grimoire's death than she did before. He had a son, and such a nice one, and she was responsible for this nice man losing his father. It seemed that her past kept following her everywhere, and she could not talk to Vincent anymore because of the guilt she felt. His father was gone because of this research, because of her. She worked together with him, but she could not help. This put a strain on Vincent and Lucrecia's relationship. Knowing no other way to get herself together, she went to one of the other scientists for comfort.

X: Comfortably Numb
The other scientist, Hojo, listened to her story and was nice to her. This went on for months, and the two became really close. Lucrecia thought to herself that this would be the way everything turned out, she was not sure if she loved this man enough, but it was the only love she had, Vincent being out of the picture now as the two never talked again since that day. Eventually Lucrecia found out that she was pregnant from Vincent, but since she could not be with Vincent she did not know what to do. She told Hojo about the baby since he was her closest friend and some kind of boyfriend to her, and he told her they could bring it up as their own. Lucrecia was happy to hear this, yet heavily depressed by everything that was happening. Emotionally numbed by this all, she could not care much anymore for what happened. Hojo was persistent in wanting to use the unborn child as a test subject, to which she eventually agreed. After all, everything proved it to be safe and what did it matter anyway? Her life was nothing but bad, it would not be good to bring up a kid this way, so if it went wrong, wouldn't that be better? The scientist injected both the pregnant Lucrecia and her foetus with experimental cells.

XI: Worst Case Scenario
When Vincent got air of this experiment he tried to confront Hojo about Lucrecia's condition, not knowing it was his baby, but just genuinely concerned about Lucrecia’s health . He had been keeping an eye on her from some distance without her knowing because he was concerned and still loved her. Hojo semi-mortally stabbed him when he confronted him and used his body as another experiment, only to label him as a failure and discard him. Lucrecia, devastated with what she thought would be Vincent's death, tried to use all her knowledge about medical ninjutsu to use her own chakra to change him back and heal him, to which she succeeded to some degree. Vincent now was in a coma-like state.
At some point around this time she gave birth to her son, Sephiroth, but the child was taken away by Hojo without Lucrecia even being allowed to hold him. Lucrecia was devastated once again as only more bad luck seemed to be on her path. Not more than two days after the birth of her son, Hojo left her. He turned out to have just used the vulnerable Lucrecia only for his own selfish goals.
Overcome with self-loathing and sorrow, Lucrecia tried to kill herself, but not before she left her thesis for Vincent, who was still unconscious. She also told her mother she was moving away for a job somewhere far away. Her mother told her she was proud of her, which made her accomplish her only goal. After this she left her old life behind, seemingly vanishing without a trace. It is unknown where she went immediately following her desertion of Shinra, but she eventually ended up in the Crystal Cave, back where it all began.

XII: Return From The Dead
Years later, when the villages were at war and the world is faced with destruction at the hands of a lot of powerful people, one of them her own now all grown up son, Lucrecia is once again found by Vincent when he was travelling. Attempting to approach her, Lucrecia warns Vincent to stay away from her. Her bad luck caused only harm and she did not wish to be more trouble to anyone. Vincent told her to go with him and that he forgave her even though there was nothing to forgive but Lucrecia went on to say she felt so much guilt for all that she had done she wanted to disappear; she did not want to be with anyone and she wanted to die. Lucrecia told Vincent she had been dreaming about her son a lot lately, and asks him if he was still alive. Vincent, who does not have the heart to tell her of all the horrible things Sephiroth has done and was planning to do, tells Lucrecia that Sephiroth is dead. Even though she never says it, she somehow knows Vincent lied.
She lingers on in the Crystal Cave and even lives there for a long while. Whilst she still has a lot of feelings for Vincent, she is unable to tell him. Overcome by guilt and fear about both the past and the future, she thinks it is better to be alone, for both of them. Vincent, however, comes back and speaks to Lucrecia, thanking her and telling her she was the reason he survived.
After this, admitting her feelings and goes with Vincent.

XIII: Brave New World
Now, several years later, Lucrecia is happier than ever. She is now part of the Valentine Clan and does not leave Vincent’s side. It is like a dream that came true, because in the end, everything turned out to be good instead of bad. With the help of Vincent she was able to leave the past behind her and look forward to the future. A future together, and not alone, not in a cave and not with guilt but in the beautiful village of Amegakure.

Abilities:

Lightning Mastery: Lucrecia’s natural affinity is Lightning release. In her case however it’s a mastery of chakra control and precision. She can control the strength of her lightning techniques and perform them without unnecessarily wasting chakra. She could use lightning release techniques with precise unitary values, efficiently using her chakra employing no more than necessary. Efficiently using her chakra in cases also makes it faster to perform techniques.

Scientist: Due to being a scientist, researching special kinds of chakra and techniques, Lucrecia has gathered a huge amount of knowledge on elements and techniques and a fast understanding on their working. She became specialised in genjutsu and rain due to her research and uses them more than usual, gathering even more knowledge about them and finding ways to perform genjutsu techniques slightly faster.

Valentine Clan Abilities: She now has improved transformation abilities, as well as the ability to passively absorb senjutsu, although only sufficient to source the chakra for the modes used in this style. Due to this ability to absorb senjutsu chakra and it regulating around her at all times, her physical strength and durability increases (+15 damage to all taijutsu) as well as ninjutsu abilities (+10 damage to all ninjutsu). Due to her training with natural energy, she has the ability to detect living things through their life force. She is also naturally more resilient than normal humans and as such has a high resistance to toxins and pathogenic matter, as well a longer lifespan. Being member of the Valentine Clan, Lucrecia can use Sage Morphing a.k.a Chaos:

War General of Amegakure: Due to being an official of Amegakure, Lucrecia knows a lot of what is going on, and gets a lot of information from the other officials. The information can benefit her during times of war and attacks on her village.

Kyotōryū Martial Arts: Lucrecia’s literally makes her a human sword. It’s a unique brand of nintaijutsu that stands on the middle ground of Gentle Fist and Strong Fist. Her taijutsu is a mixture of both technique and force adding to that the element of surprise of using her body as a sword makes her all the more deadly.
-Enhanced Speed: Lucrecia is less affected to air resistance. Her training and methods makes her faster, she has increased stamina, being able to gain momentum within a second and maintaining it for long periods.
-Enhanced Durability: Being a human sword, lightning have a body resistant to a variety of damages. Her defence itself is her offence.
-Cutting and piercing attacks: Her ordinary attacks have the ability to cut. Her hits are fast and precise.

Inventory:

The Blazefire Saber: A sword specially designed for speed and flexibility. Lucrecia got this from Lightning and carries her "Saber" with her at all times. The sword can be folded at the engine like part near the handle (see pic), so that it can be put away in the black case which is attached to Lucrecia’s belt easier as well as get it out faster. It will unfold at the moment it leaves it’s case and can be folded again whilst pushing a button on the handle.

The Survival Knife: An interesting looking survival knife Lucrecia also got from Lightning. The knife started to play a big role in Lightning’s story, being given to Hope by Lightning to boost his confidence as well as to protect him. Lightning eventually took the knife back, and when she disappears it is the only thing left of her known to her friends, this is where Lucrecia received it.

It's a common misunderstanding...>_>

You shouldn't try to belittle members yourself.
