You forgot Tobi has already taken his mask off before Sasuke, and we have been able to see one Uchiha eye.

So Itachi did not lie about that.

People are speculating madara is only a shell of his former self because hes lost a sharingan and people have been theorising about his eyes.

But here's itachi saying he is fine and his eyes are fine, as is their power.

Theres something else we're missing in the equation here.

The mask is making us think about his eyes too much and taking focus off the real reason hes only a shell of his former self...

well yea obviously he still has ems cause he is still alive.
but I don't really know what else is wrong there casue he also says sasuke has no chance to defeat him.

"He is a shell of his former self, and not worthy of being the most powerful uchiha"

And then says how he will take sasukes eyes etc.


I think Itachi was simply implying he would be more powerful than madara once he has sasukes eyes, if you take it in that context.


People say "hes not as good as he used to be" all the time, its a figure of speech, it doesnt nessecarily mean anythings missing.

I mean Madaras power comes from sharingan.

Itachi says his eyes are fine.

So how can he be less powerful??

Hes either lost something we never knew he had that was better than EMS, or he is fine and itachi was using it in the context that hed be the new most powerful uchiha

What I understood when I read the manga:

Madara was the most powerfull Uchiha, he is not what he used to be but is still very powerful.

Itachi seems to say that he (Itachi) is more powerful than Madara (speaking about abilities, not about political power).

And when I mention that Sasuke saw one of his eyes in my previous post, I don?t mean to say that?s the only eye.

Madara may have the EMS, but he may lack, for example, the ability to do Amatersu (just using this as an eg, not meaning he does not have it). Itachi mentions he lost some of his power but not the EMS.
