With saying that Mihawk wasnt even tryin you kind of implied that Shanks was. I think that is what Ziggyz means.:|:|:| I was talking about the Iceberg feat.

Shanks had a reason to go all out. Mihawk had none and it was clear he did that feat 'casually'.With saying that Mihawk wasnt even tryin you kind of implied that Shanks was. I think that is what Ziggyz means.
The Admiral's had a reason to go all-out in the war, but they didn't. Sengoku had a reason to go all-out, but he didn't. And Shanks' didn't have a reason to go all-out. Why? Because all he did was defend WB's strike. And he did so casually, since he equaled his strike; he didn't make it stronger since it would hit WB - and he didn't make it weaker - he made it perfectly exact to it. After-all, he had no intention of bringing harm to WB. Hence he equaled it in order for both forces to cancel each-other out.Shanks had a reason to go all out. Mihawk sliced an iceberg, while Shanks was clashing with the strongest and if not then one of the strongest alive. Sure he had to put in a little more effort, but he was by no means going all-out. He wasnt trying to start a fight with Whitebeard.Shanks had a reason to go all out. Mihawk had none and it was clear he did that feat 'casually'.![]()

My logic dictates that commonplace practice with a weapon called a sword makes somebody a swordsman. Luffy doesn't practice swordsmanship.Means nothing, 'cause your logic dictates: you use a sword, you're a swordsman - nothing more, nothing less.
There's a chance of discovery , by accident as given by the examples you've stated. Thing is.... Zoro was getting trained , I doubt Law got trained during the time skip. The examples are irrelevantSo someone taught Law how to use it? Someone taught Rayleigh how to use it? Someone taught the founder of Haki how to use it?
Ice is more dense than air. By swinging a sword you are already cutting the air.Do you want me get a sword and an ice-block and then try putting that shit through the other shit? 'Cause I will. And after that, I'll get a sword and swing in the air to create a ripple in the sky. So we can finally deduce, what the fvck is harder?
Shanks is incapable of beating WB in one hit. He was incapable of beating him full stop. Considering there were hostile words and negotiations and friction between the two ; I wouldn't be surprised if they went in with quite a high amount of force. So Shanks was trying eh? So Shanks had the intent to end WB with one-hit? He went in - bloodlusted and full of mass killing-intent - ready to head the 'New Era'?
Damn, never knew he wanted to cut WB in half with such a half-assed strike.
Sure they went in with quite a bit of force, but they were not nearly going all-out. If they were, why wouldnt WB add his DF to the swing?Shanks is incapable of beating WB in one hit. He still tried. And it took two. Mihawk performed his more impressive feat on his own at low diff.Sure they went in with quite a bit of force, but they were not nearly going all-out. If they were, why wouldnt WB add his DF to the swing?
I still dont get why his feat is greater. Splitting air to the point that it is visible, is incredibly hard to do. Also, Shanks and WB werent even aiming at the sky, it was a mere side-effect. Mihawk wasnt trying to split the tsunami, but his sword was still aimed that way.He still tried. And it took two. Mihawk performed his more impressive feat on his own at low diff.
I'm pretty sure it is a "fodder" level sword as he was seen having the same/similar sword in his flashback as a kid.Swordsman
a man who fights with a sword (typically with his level of skill specified).
That is the definition. We don't know if his sword is a fodder sword or not. It will most likely be a Meito. Durandel looks like a mehh sword but it's a named and world famous sword. The sword a swordsman uses does not affect a persons title or classification as a swordsman.
I'm pretty sure the whole splitting the sky in half scene was result from a clash in conquering king's haki. To do that is just amazing. BB needed the Gura Gura no mi to do that in marineford. Shanks's haki is already far superior than Mihawk's from what we've seen so far. I wouldn't say Mihawk is at Yonko level, he's prob. quite close to it.I still dont get why his feat is greater. Splitting air to the point that it is visible, is incredibly hard to do. Also, Shanks and WB werent even aiming at the sky, it was a mere side-effect. Mihawk wasnt trying to split the tsunami, but his sword was still aimed that way.
Because Mihawk did it so casually. As if that's the force of his REGULAR sword swing. Shanks feat wasn't actually his feat. It was firstly affected by Haoshoku Haki. (Nothing to do with swordsmanship) , then there was also Whitbeard and the two of them tried. Wasn't that already obvious?I still dont get why his feat is greater. I bet you money Shanks wasn't even trying to do that shit, it just happened due to his power.
Mihawk did it intentionally.

Luffy used a sword once, and then he used it again. That's sufficient practice since he's had sufficient experience. Thus.. a swordsman (by your logic of course). My logic dictates that commonplace practice with a weapon called a sword makes somebody a swordsman. Luffy doesn't practice swordsmanship.
He was getting trained in the "Way of the Sword". Not in Haki. Haki isn't a necessity in swordsmanship, it's an add-on. Now the 'Power of Destruction', that's what you call getting trained on by a sword-master. So theoretically, Zoro could unlock his Haki by himself and thus subconsciously making it stronger until Mihawk told him about he's Haki developing. Because seriously, just because Mihawk wants Zoro to surpass him, do you truly believe he'll spoon-feed him that victory? There's a chance of discovery , by accident as given by the examples you've stated. Thing is.... Zoro was getting trained , I doubt Law got trained during the time skip. The examples are irrelevant
What? So if I swing a sword in the air at ground-level, Imma start making the clouds above me splitting apart and shit??? Holy fvck! Cheers for da revelation!!Ice is more dense than air. By swinging a sword you are already cutting the air.
And I said he was where???Shanks is incapable of beating WB in one hit.
And this is concluded from what????He was incapable of beating him full stop.
Look back at both their swings, it's obvious to a decent mind that WB was just measuring Shanks up with a half-assed swing to which Shanks complied with equal effort.Considering there were hostile words and negotiations and friction between the two ; I wouldn't be surprised if they went in with quite a high amount of force.
Funny as you say next, seeing as you have yet to provide a link to Mihawk's FB event.Next!

Wait wait wait... you think Mihawk>> Shanks? You must be registered for see images
Haoshoku haki has nothing to do with Swordsmanship. AND on top of that Whitebeard also helped.
I thought you said haki in general is related with swordsmanship? Now you're contradicting yourself? That's cute.Because Mihawk did it so casually. As if that's the force of his REGULAR sword swing. Shanks feat wasn't actually his feat. It was firstly affected by Haoshoku Haki. (Nothing to do with swordsmanship) , then there was also Whitbeard and the two of them tried.
