Obito may have overpowered abilities, but he terribly lacks skills in order to use them properly. Kakashi would have been much more powerful if he were the one who received the amount of upgrades Obito received since his supposedly "death" to today. Even with Jubi's power, he fights poorly.

That leads people to accuse plot, but it's not. Obito is the one who lacks skills there. One could say he was restricted, but when you see the same thing again and again, can you still excuse plot?

Certainly, that puny sparing match wasn't held on fair grounds. Though it is true that Obito got beaten, their prior engagements unveil that he should have been the clear victor - not even by a margin, at that - even without Kamui being on the table.

] and tried to pointlessly delay the fight using optical Genjutsu against another Sharingan supports that hypothesis just as much as the absence of Chakra draining [

]; a man going all out wouldn't abstain from these powers. Additionally, Obito had to preserve what little Chakra he had left in order to utilize the technique he later performed to become Juubi's Jinchuuriki. As it was able to seal an entity of Juubi's level nigh instantly, the consumed amount of Chakra must have been enormous; when Obito initiated the Jutsu, his stamina was squeezed out to a point where his hair turned white, signalizing his reserves reached their limit. Had he not been exhausted, that change in colour wouldn't have occured; had he exhausted himself more, however, the technique might've failed due to a lack of stamina. Accordingly, every slight amount of Chakra must've been indescribably valuable to Obito during his fight with Kakashi, forcing him to hold back.

Of course, the fight did show that, after all, Kakashi's natural talent still exceeded Obito's; only at the cost of the latter's strongest moves, though. In the end, Obito managed to temporarily trap Kakashi within Kamui's realm and to become the Juubi's host before Madara could; which I'd consider clear success.

Take out their OP Kamui, and any backup they had (Naruto & Gai, 6 Tailed Beasts) and make them stick to pure fighting, and Obito would still be below Kakashi as he always was.

Not quite. Don't forget about wood style and fire style. Obito's fire styles are Madara level. He also could have used rinnegan.

I've come up with my 3 possibilities .

1 - Obito held back .
2 - Obito was tired .
3 - Kakashi owned him .

No one in their right mind can say Kakashi owned Obito, only reason Obito couldn't use Kamui is because if he did then Naruto, Bee or Guy would attack him from the other side like Kakashi was doing before. That made it a 1 on 4 still. Next, Obito was just controlling 6 bijuus then 5 bijuus which he had difficulties doing then fought Kakashi, Naruto and guy. Kakashi was given chakra by Kurama so his stamina recovered compared to how he was before receiving the chakra while Obito was still in the same shape. Obito was trained by Madara so he's above Kakashi in terms of power, note his fire jutsu on Madara's scale.

Well just a friendly reminder.

And by the way. He used a fireball lash, and Kakashi used his Raikiri. We know for a fact Obito had more chakra entering the dimension because he was capable of Kamuiing himself out, while Kakashi did the smart thing and stitched himself up.

Furthermore, you can't come up with an excuse for every time Obito gets whacked. Kakashi light blitzed him twice and proved his kicks to be faster than even a Sharingan can track.

Kakashi won that fair and square, period.

Yes of course kakashi was saved by plot and obito was holding back. he was saving chakra left for becoming the juubi's jinchuuriki.

he has bigger plans than fighting kakashi in a meaningless fight.
