Does Sasuke really owe anything to Konoha? Does he need redemption?

I've looked over Sasuke's character a lot lately and now that I think about it, just what favours has Konoha done for him? Of course the first point is the Uchiha massacre. The act in itself was full of corruption and uneccesary force. 'The will of fire' was completely contradicted in that case. Along with this, when Itachi asked Hiruzen to protect Sasuke, there have been no signs to suggest that he was actually there for him. People say that he lived a good life in Konoha and treated him well, when really he was lied to the whole time.

Point is, in my opinion he shouldn't bother himself with trying to become Hokagr anyway. He doesn't owe anything to them. Do you think he does? Does he need redemption?

Showered? Hardly. It was only the girls, the others didn't pay that much attention to him.

I never thought of it this way, or at least to this extreme. He killed Orochimaru, Deidara, Itachi, and Danzo (the Leaf should forgive him for that alone). He did more wrong to the Could Village, then the Leaf.

they taught him how to be a ninja but nothing else. Girls his age liked him but the rest of the ninja didn't care, except to comment on him about his fighting skills. They let him, a seven-year-old live in the place where his parents were murdered. A few days after the massacre, Sasuke sneaked past ninjas (who should have stopped him) to go the his compound where he saw the chalk lines from where his parents had laid. Sasuke lived alone, like Naruto. He just wasn't hated. He was ignored. the Leaf really contributed to his madness.

Other than leaving the village he hasn't done anything to bad except crashing the Kage meeting and killing Danzo. His good out does his bad since he has only killed one person I think.

Actually, Sasuke does have a responsibility to the leaf. And to the world as a whole. The majority of the bad things that have happened over the course of history - the big events atleast - in that narutoverse, have been caused by Madara, Obito and the like.

Sasuke has responsibility to cleans the record of his clan. Otherwise, they'd go down in history as the insane traitors that the majority are.

the ones who knew about (hiruzen, danzo, itachi) that are long dead. now of course sasuke doesnt have to apologize for all of the people he killed.
