Who will lead the new alliance or will there be war?

After having read the past couple of chapters it seems like there is no one who will be accepted by all 5 Kages and the Iron country Kage, Mifune.

1.) Kazekage (Gaara,wind) - too young (see twistedlink's thread for a more thorough discussion)

2.) Mr T. (i.e Raikage,lightning) - too emotional, amassed armies during peacetime

3.) Mizukage (hot chick,water) - Akatsuki sort of grew up in her backyard under a previous Mizukage.

4.) Tsuchikage (old man, earth) - actively paid for Akatsuki services

5.) Danzou (Hokage, fire) - betrayed and generated Pein, betrayed and generated Sasuke as avengers in Akatsuki. Coward who didn't fight during Pein's invasion. Has Shisui's Sharingan and eye.

5b.) Tsunade - no real secrets, if she wakes up soon, I'm not sure what issues can arise.

6.) Sleeper pick and potentially the most dangerous, the leader of the land of Iron who may not be what he seems.

7.) War: Personally, I think that there will be war, which is exactly what Madara wants if he can't control the leader.

I originally thought it would be: Wind, Water, and Fire. Now that Ao of the water has seen Danzou's Sharingan with a Byakuugan, there's bound to be tension. It may play out as Wind and Fire against the other three. I don't think that Gaara will abandon Konoha no matter what, but Danzou's secrets and betrayals are bound to backfire again. However, Madara may have sent in Zetsu to distract the committee from Ao's discovery of Danzou's Sharingan.

I agree that no one will be accepted of 5 Kages to lead aliance . It sounds more like a war now , I mean Kages would kill eachother If Tsunade woke up , I would choose her =)

As it stands, I'm going to guess Naruto, or the Mizukage.
(Please note, Mifune isn't a Kage, just the leader of the Iron Country.)

To be honest, that Akatsuki may have been "born" in the Water country, while under the reign of the Yondaime Mizukage should be of little relevance to the Godaime Mizukage's ability to lead. The fact that he's been replaced, and she's taken over, should be a testament to Kiri's ability to extinguish corruption from its midst.

Gaara will likely not be chosen, due to his age, and perhaps doubts surrounding his current ability.

Danzou, has been shown to be a manipulative fraud.

Mifune isn't even an option. He's the neutral party at the meeting. It's called the Five Country Alliance for a reason, it doesn't include the Iron.

Tsuchikage has used Akatsuki in the past, and comes across as a terrible leader.

Raikage lets his emotions control him too much (in seemingly Danzou's viewpoint), but, KillerBee -is- his brother, it's hard not to see where he's coming from.

The way I see it right now; Mizukage, Gaara, or the Raikage are the strongest candidates.
Even if Tsunade comes out of her coma, she'll be too weak to lead an alliance.

Naruto has all the makings of a potential wild card, though.

I honestly dont understand why they are amassing an army, there are few akatsuki members left and the ones left need to be assasinated by S class ninjas in a squadron of 4.

Numbers are pointless at this point.

Defeating tobi is nothing to do with brute strength, youll just go right through him, to defeat akatsuki you need to defeat tobi, to defeat tobi someone has to figure out his tricks, requiring smart thinkers, kakashi, shikamaru, maybe the bug guy hes quite smart.

In fact the 4th stated naruto needs to develop a jutsu with half the kyuubis chakra to defeat someone of tobis level.


This super alliance to me sounds very dodgy, because it wont help at all other than make a police state somehow.

Why dont all 5 countries simply send out there ninjas and aid each other, and each kage sends orders to capture or kill akatsuki, why unite them all into 1??

It sounds as if some manipulation is certainly going on (danzo?) because this entire army thing makes NO SENSE.

Name 1 akatsuki who would lose against Deidara.

1.Sasori-Deidara would certainly lose given deidara doesnt know where the poison darts are.
Sasori is actually one of the most powerful of the akatsuki, its just he got real bad luck in that his first ever real fight he was against his grandmother who knew most of his jutsus, making sasori LOOK weak.

However anyone not knowing his secret puppet attacks will die of poison time and time again.

2.Orochimaru-HAHA, deidara would get OWNED by oro, oro doesnt die of simple physical attacks, we have seen him simply sick up himself again when he is damaged.
Deidaras bombs would do little.

3.Hidan-Technically nobody can win against him because he never dies. Id say deidara may be able to win this one...maybe...

4.Kakuzu-way loads more experience and also has to be killed 5 times. It took a lot of skill to take kakuzu down and he fought brilliantly considering he was grossly outnumbered

5.Itach-HAHAHAHAHAHA...no...In fact we have already seen Dei get owned by itachi

6.Kisame-HAHAHAHAHA, Kisame would kick deis ass in seconds.

7.Pain-Obviously a win for pain

8.Konan-Unknown, however given she personally protects nagato, probably fairly powerful

9.Zetsu-doubt it, while he hasnt shown to be a fighter he jumped in front of the 5 most powerful ninjas and 10 of their bodyguards.

To do that with confidence makes 3 scenarios

1.Youre strong enough to take them on
2.Youre fast enough to escape any of their attacks
3.Youre immortal enough or can take severe heavy damage without dying

Or a mix of all 3.

Either way, doubt dei could beat that
