Why do people dislike naruto's character?

There are better characters than naruto and sasuke in this verse. For example, Kisame.

I don't know about that.

I like Kisame's character better by far, but I don't think he's a better character than Sasuke.

I find him verry boring and annoying. The whole tnj he has going on currently btw him and obito is pissing me off. His speeches are repeative and once that occurs you find it very annoying. And his character for me is too simple and straightforward, I prefer complex charcters which is why I like and prefer sasuke. Well that's it for me

For me personally, (Kisame fanboy) I loved Kisame's character, the arrogance, the stupidity at times and the fact that he was what I would call a true shinobi. But, with how the story has been presented and played out, his charcater seems out of place.
With Sasuke's character, I just find him more intriguing, a character that suits the plot perfectly and a good reflection of the 'world' Kishimoto has created.

Actually Yes,perhaps unpredictable is a better word. With naruto u basically knw he wil do, he's very predictablen even what he says you can predict it. Not saying that's a bad thing(it isn't) but characters that straight forward come off as boring to me, they don't give you suspense, no excitement, they don't leave you guessing as to what their next action will be cos they are just too simple unlike sasukes charcter. For example during the kabuto battle, all the while kabuto tried to talk sasuke to join him, I felt this suspense about what sasukes reply will be cos u don't jus knw what to expect frm him, afta hashiramas speech to him and it was time for him to make a decision, that suspense was also der(I won't lie I thought sasuke will stil wanna attack the leaf with helping in the war as only a memontarily action), I neva expected him to want make the decision to protect the leaf. Even then pple thout he had turned fully to the gud syd until he revealed his thouts of wanting to eliminate the past(naruto) implying he's not fully on the gud syd yet showing sasukes dynamism and complexity as a character. His actions leaves you guessing, wanting to knw what nxt he wil do, that unpredictable element is what totally intrigues me and y as a character I findd him much aappealing than naruto who is boring to me. Narutos idealism also annoys me and his speeches are childish for me. Well that's all for me.

Most people here repeatedly say that they hate Naruto as a character and when you ask them why, they normally say because he's boring and always try to the take the righteous course no matter what he's faced with. They also detest the Savior tag on him. However, i have a problem with such half-assed answers. The name naruto means an unwavering will. The story is built around someone with such a strong will that he does not waver in his will no matter what. What exactly is wrong with that? i've heard people say he's predictable n thus boring in that manner but i really don't get them. Isn't that the whole point of the story which has his name as the title by the way. Whats wrong with being the saviour? cos eventually someone has to make a revolutionary impact in the ninja world and who better than the main character? Any wise opinions will be appreciated.

pfft sasuke doesnt even have a mind of his own or know what purpose he serves in the anime, or what side he's on.
first he's against orochi then he joins him for three years,then he's against him again then itachi seals orochi , then sasuke frees him. :/

He has a mind of his own. He actually sets goals for himself and has completed them.

1. Joined Oro for his own goals and took him out when he thought Oro was of no use to him. Completed

so explain the recent switch flip "am going to destroy konoha because they made my brother do bad things" then " am going to protect and change konoha because thats what my brother wants me to do" seriously thats sounds like someone that makes up his own mind without someone else opinions? at least naruto knew what he wanted to do from part 1 protect his comrades something that sasuke use to say then he attacks the same people he said wouldnt let them die in front of him
