Why do people dislike naruto's character?

Most people here repeatedly say that they hate Naruto as a character and when you ask them why, they normally say because he's boring and always try to the take the righteous course no matter what he's faced with. They also detest the Savior tag on him. However, i have a problem with such half-assed answers. The name naruto means an unwavering will. The story is built around someone with such a strong will that he does not waver in his will no matter what. What exactly is wrong with that? i've heard people say he's predictable n thus boring in that manner but i really don't get them. Isn't that the whole point of the story which has his name as the title by the way. Whats wrong with being the saviour? cos eventually someone has to make a revolutionary impact in the ninja world and who better than the main character? Any wise opinions will be appreciated.

No, because he thinks he can always sway people's opinions with words. You need to realize in the REAL world, there's evil and sick people out there and words won't always change their twisted mindset. Yet he tries to talk it out all the time, and it get too predictable. Plus it's always Rasen-(Insert name here), he needs to use more wind nature based jutsu like Danzo and his are bullets. This is just my personal opinion though.

when I started Naruto was my fav.. he reminded me of Bart Simpson , he was a prankster and a trouble maker and also for the colors used for him and he was kinda funny. then I saw Sakura <3 then Sasuke :sasuke: then after a while I found all the characters in the story completely annoying and I don't really care about Naruto anymore.

I wished he did ...um... more and was left out at the same time.. <_<

OT: Or maybe because he uses the same justu again and again. Then again, nobody bashes other characters who rely on (primarily) one technique. He gets the most stick for it because he's the main protagonist. The Rasengan has become the new Kamehameha.

i dont think all of people in NB dislike naruto but i agree that some people in NB dislike naruto which are mostly sasuke fanboys who hate to see that naruto surpassed sasuke .........in my opinion naruto's character is awful as he didnt gave up in whole series ...........

Because he's boring and been "perfect" ever since he took Kurama's chakra. He no longer has the things I attributed with him from the start of the series. I get characters develop and change over time, but I think his getting acknowledged by the village and befriending the Kyuubi came too soon. I'd rather not have Kurama even be friendly.... I miss the threat of a berserk rampage...

Ok man, i get your point. But you have to understand that words are the most powerful things ever. words are like the source code of everything and even in real life people who are evil/sick are given therapy/preached and stuff like that. its the same in my opinion. About the jutsu part, i agree that kishi should really make him more versatile with his techniues though. thanks.
