Yeah sound does sound a bit unfair, so I definitely won't be abusing it but I am already starting to develop a few custom techniques for it. Speaking of that, after I finish this training and get some practice in, would you be down to trade? I wanna build my sound arsenal since it's soooooo unique.

Alright nice, i'll definitely keep that combo in mind.
I'm always for a trade, but I warn you, I'm picky and hard to satisfy, so I won't promise anything.

(Ototon: Naiteki Ne no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Inner Sonar Skill
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user enhancing their hearing by utilizing chakra and enfusing their sound waves from their mouth. With their breathing sound waves emerge and bounce off of objects having them know wherever everything is around them.

The next jutsu requires you to gather sound chakra in your hands and clap them together. This forces a strong soundwave to burst forward. Because of its frequency it is able to disperse oncoming jutsu, however, only up to C rank, included. It's a directional blast, that travels forward and is aimed at jutsus. Since sound weakens with distance the sooner it hits the jutsu the better the dispersion. It doesn't work directly on opponents.

Alright, I begin to channel my chakra, first I channel my raiton and then secondly my fuuton chakra. Once done I begin to evenly distribute and combine the elements whilst using precise chakra control and manipulation effectively creating ototon, once complete I focus this gathered ototon chakra evely into both of my hands I slam them together releasing the gathered ototon chakra creating a strong soundwave that quickly travels forward.

That's pretty much it. It's straight forward and there's not much more to the jutsu.

(Ototon: Sumakku Te no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Clapping Hands Skill
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user charges chakra into the palms of there hands, and then smash them together. The force creates chakra infused sound waves which can be used to disperse oncoming jutsu(only works on C-Rank or below jutsu).
Note: Travels at 450 speed

Now this one is neat. You basically charge a limb with sound chakra and you strike your opponent. The strike will be followed up by a sonic wave that you release with your chakra. This gives you the ability for a 100% hit, because even if he manages to avoid the strike, he will be hit by the sonic wave.

Cool but the clapping jutsu has no affect on humans?

And awesome I'm a big taijutsu head so lets do this!

After hearing the instructions I take a deep breathe once again I begin to channel my chakra, first I channel my raiton and then secondly my fuuton chakra. Once done I begin to evenly distribute and combine the elements whilst using precise chakra control and manipulation effectively creating ototon. Immediately I begin to imbue and coat my right arm with the gather Ototon chakra. Instantly taking a two quick steps then jumping off of my right leg I charge at a nearby tree, punching forward whilst releasing the gathered ototon chakra causes the leaves on the tree to blow furiously, serving as an indicator for the sheer power of the technique.

No, as I already stated.

Alright. I thought we had this one but it seems like it's still a problem. You don't gather one and then the other type of chakra. To make it happen you have to do it simultaneously and mold them together. Sound chakra is nothing different than ice or lava, for example. You gather both required chakras and you "fuse" them together to get the new type. Once you get the basics, which we did in the first few posts, you don't need to mention that anymore. Simple sound chakra will suffice. For the performance of the technique, it's good and I know it will suit you well. I think that the technique itself is a bit iffy and just a bit too elaborate and it could be worked into a CFS. A few different movements followed by sound waves or something like that. But it's not my type of thing anyway so I'll leave that for someone else. :p

(Ototon: Basuto Houmen no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Sonic Release Skill
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user gathers chakra either around their fist, arm, or leg and then charge towards their opponent. With that area of their body having that chakra infused with it upon utilizing an attack with either of those areas it causes a release of sonic vibrations that act as a secondary blow.that makes the opponent unable to use what ever body part is hit for 1 turn.Even if the opponent manages to evade, chances are they still will be hit by the sonic release. If thats the case this jutsus damage is halved.
Note: Travels at 395 speed

How do you mean? It already includes a wide range of taijutsu movements by being so unspecific and saying that you "charge for an attack". This gives you a lot of freedom to fit the scenario to your advantage.

Yeah but what I mean is would I be able to use it in conjunction with other taijutsu techniques outside of free-form

like use the sound move to coat my limbs with the sound chakra, then use something like dynamic entry or perhaps something like my kung fu cfs.

Well, yeah. Any technique that doesn't require chakra would work, I suppose. But what's the point in using the dynamic entry technique when you can freeform it with this one too. But, whatever floats your boat. As long as the other technique doesn't require chakra, you're good to go.

Tell me that sound isn't broken. xD

(Ototon: Hibiki Rendan no Jutsu) - Sound Release: Echo Assault Skill
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user gathers chakra into their mouth and infuses their vocal chords as they release a burst of sound towards the opponent. If they managed to dodge it, that is the worst thing that can happen. The sound gets stronger as it bounces off of objects however it also gets smaller as it goes on.
Note: Travels at 450 speed

Now this is one of the cooler techniques. It revolves around echoing. What can you tell me about echos?

Lel. What difference makes the object it echoes off? Different shapes, densities, etc help you manipulate the echo too. This gives you the ability to control the technique to the fullest, instead of just blasting the soundwave and saying the echo hits you. Give me an example of a good combination and how you would use this jutsu.

Well I have a yuki bio so I would use it a little something like this

Immediately as I channel my Ototon chakra and extend my right arm pointing it at my opponent as I release the gather chakra sending forth a devastating soundwave towards him, except the soundwave wouldn't be on target as I gather my hyouton chakra in rapid succession forming an ice mirror a few feet behind my opponent. The soundwave would seemingly miss you by a few inches and hit the ice mirror behind him causing the sound to reflect back off it. As the soundwaves hit the mirror it causes an echo effect strengthening the jutsu as an whole?

Alright, but that's exactly what I was talking about. It's too generic. Basically, all you did was shoot a blast of sound and say it echoes. You're the user of the technique. You have control over it. It's poorly explained. Use advantage of it. Include details.

First thing. Angle

You had physics, you know that stuff bounces off surfaces depending on the "entering angle". This allows you to manipulate the echo and direct it even if the opponent is not near an object that it can echo off. You gotta abuse this (not in the literal meaning of the word) and put it to use.

Material

Obviously, different materials will have influence on the strength of the echo. It's not impossible for your combo to fail because the soundwave can shatter the ice. This is why you control the frequency to your advantage. You lower the frequency from the resonant frequency of your ice mirror. What you get with this is a wider range of effects. When you say that the echo attacks the opponent what does it actually do? It's not specified, that's why you use the frequency.

Shape

If the wave bounces off a concave object it will be much stronger and focused than if it bounces off a convex shaped object. The convex will not be able to keep it all together and it will dissipate, losing on power. However, the concave will be able to focus it into one spot and that spot will be the maximum "damage". This is where you take advantage of these facts and set up the battlefield to your advantage. I know it seems too much to be bothered with, but well explained moves win battles, not powerful techniques.

That awkward moment when you're waiting for someone to reply and you're the one that didn't. Anyways, round 2.

Immediately as I channel my Ototon chakra and extend my right arm pointing it at my opponent as I release the gather chakra sending forth a devastating soundwave towards him, except the soundwave wouldn't be on target as I gather my Doton chakra in rapid succession forming a strong dense concave structure(a structure curved inwards) of earth a few feet behind my opponent. The soundwave would seemingly miss you by a few inches, serving as a distraction and hit the concave structure with an entering angle of 45 degrees, following the groove of the concave structure. The echo of the powerful sound will bounce off at a 45 degree angle, with it's primary path being aimed at the back of my opponent. As the echo bounces off the structure it increases in decibels, causing a louder, deafening sound. Causing my opponent extreme pain, breaking his concentration and causing temporary hearing loss.

How's that? If i'm still not hitting it correctly I apologize ._.

Magnificent. Exactly. That's how you do it. All these angles and stuff should also confuse the opponent. Make it harder to perceive the battle and hopefully make a crucial mistake. Not only does your move look better but it can also help you later in the battle. If he manages to avoid the soundwave, you can use the earthen structure depending on the position because it covers a larger surface and a wider angle because of its curvature. :)

(Ototon: Chi Oto no jutsu) - Sound Release: Bloody Sound Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The User Forms A huge amount of Chakra in their fists and when a punch is thrown the hands release it in the form of Tremendous sound waves that spreads out through the area. Mainly Travels through the air so it don't leave a trail that it is coming. When the sound Impacts the foe they will lose the ability to hear for a while and it will cause them to bleed out of the ear. Causes the foe to lose hearing for 5 turns so it will be harder for them to evade attacks.
Note: Travels at 500 speed

Again a technique that will be very useful for you. It's invisible as most sound techniques and the only way to know it's a technique is by the punch through the air. Since soundwaves spread as they travel, shorter distance will mean a bigger impact on the victim but a less chance to hit, however at a bigger distance it will be almost a certain hit with a lesser impact.

Alright sounds good, thank you.

Omg who created this technique, >_> dat grammar doe. xD

As our training has progress, creating Ototon has become almost second nature. Being able to channel the chakra just as easily and swiftly as any other element. So immediately without much buildup I strike forward with my right hand, seemingly punching air with no effect when in all actuality I release a tremendous invisible soundwave, spreading outwards as it travels. Using the air as a medium it doesn't leave any trace or track indicating that it is moving towards my opponent, the only indicator provided was the simple punch forward. As the soundwave is heard which is almost immediately due to it's immense speed, my opponent hears an extremely deafening sound causing him to lose concentration and become deaf for 5 turns, while sustaining internal injuries causing him to bleed out of the ears, serving as a representation to the attacks power.

Yes, but I also have another question about sound in general, albeit it may be one with an obvious answer but I would like to make sure.

1) How can wind be c orrectly used to counter sound, and can it only counter sound not based on hearing?
2) Also the speed given at the bottom of each technique, how can that be translated into the rp? Like the last technique moves at 500 speed. 500 speed per what? Or how long would it take to travel from me to mid-range.
