I don't see how you people can even think of claiming that Nagato's pain is greater than Sasuke's. :| Nagato lost his parents and his best friend. Sasuke watched his older brother, that he loved, kill his entire familiy right in front of his eyes. Then he trained for years in order to kill him for revenge and when he finally did so he found out that his brother was ordered by his own home to do so and that he loved him.

It's not about knowing if they hated him or not. It's about allowing corruption to seep through from the top to the rest of the villagers.

I'll give you a simple analogy of a similar (not identical) situation.
Nazi Party, Germany. Not all Germans were against the Jews as Hitler was BUT, because power from the top seems to speak for the whole people, it becomes viewed that way. The Jews were viewed as (Not even going to write names) throughout Germany because of Power from the top.

Who you have in charge speaks volumes of how you operate.

Look at how Sasuke and Itachi are viewed in Konoha. As criminals because it was an order from the top to label them as such.
FFS, look at how the Rookies reacted to Sasuke when he reached the battlefield. Had they known everything of what he had been through when he left the village and learned everything as Naruto had, would they have had the same reaction?

It's corruption, it's dirty politics and it needs to die.
