Characters: Current Orochimaru, Healthy Itachi.
Notes: Take into consideration, that Orochimaru can absorb ones chakra in a single touch. Susano'o is weak against underground attacks. If you're going to use Yata Mirror hype, Hydra hype must be used aswell. Orochimaru has access to all of Zetsu's abilities, including spores, MayFly etc.

Well he did fall for Itachi's Genjutsu before so Itachi will kill him off with a Genjutsu again, but if he does indeed have a counter to Itachi's Genjutsu then Orochimaru wins since he can counter every last of Itachi's techniques except his Genjutsu.

Deidara trained his eye to counter genjutsu after Itachi soloed him with it, so it wouldn't be surprising if Oro developed something too.

Well yes he could break it by Chakra control, but I doubt that Itachi would allow something like that. And only Tsukuyomi is short ranged. Itachi's other Genjutsu can cover any range I believe, but I guess that Orochimaru could possibly counter Genjutsu by hidding a snake summoning somewhere and making it disrupt his Chakra flow when he gets caught in a Genjutsu. Or he could simply hit his face with some kind of cloth and then fight Itachi by using the snakes' ability to sense heat just like Kabuto did.

Not really, I doubt he even has knowledge of them. Sasuke who had them on him, didn't even notice. Zetsu spores are relatively untraceable unless you're Orochimaru.

Depends if those spores will absorb the Chakra from Susano'o before it expands and throws away the spores from his body. However, if that fails to throw the spores from his body then no, he can't counter them.

Hmm... The problem I see with this is that we don't have any significant feats from Orochimaru in this body to quantify his ability to beat Sasuke. If he could use DSM, then he would be above Itachi quite substantially... But I don't know. Genjutsu is his weakness, but he may be able to counter it. I'd wait a couple of chapters to see if anything is fleshed out.

Nah, this isn't how Zetsu's spores work man. They stick to his body and then they grow when Zetsu activates them.

They're not inside his body, they're on his body so Itachi could throw them away from him by activating the Susano'o, but that could possibly make the spores just bigger.
