Orochimaru wins this. Itachi used genjutsu on oro before and orochimaru was still able to respond. Itachi realized that he had to cut off oro's hand in order to get the upperhand.

Current Orochimaru is not losing to itachi. He just completely stopped the God tree's assult with a few snakes and no effort. You guys don't even know Half of what orochimaru is capable of.lol

It is basic compared to a tysukuyomi :|. It being short range makes no difference, Itachi has the speed and means of closing the gap to make eye contact with orochimaru.
