ya its faster but we can call it as powerful technique can't we, Its just more advanced than body flicker.and naruto doesn't fail in taijutsu!!who said tht!! He is amz. The one he used before most was taijutsu to make ka ge bushin and beat others with his some kinda clones. lol. But seriously u can see in pains fight he showed a lot of frog katas. That is also taijutsu.
If speed is considered then he has amz speed in sage mode and also without sage mode he may be much faster cz he has done a lot of trainings.He may not be even close to SAsuke's speed without sage mode but he is also fast and faster in sage mode!!

Actually u can look at the naruto wikia so u can understand everything!!!!and Yellow flash is just the nick name given to the 4th due to his Fly Thunder God by which he killed 50 ninjas in an instant with the fight with iwagakure!!

Dude naruto wiped rock lees speed clean in sage mode.
Sasuke as a genin copied lees speed, and naruto and sasuke duked it out much higher levels from that going much faster.
Im sorry to shit on peoples parade, but gai and lee are simply expert taijutsu users, they would crumble under genjutsu or ninjutsu.
Id love to see lee or gai dodge a flying FRS considering pain with 360 vision lost 2 bodies in 1 hit of FRS lol
ya nice one.Gai and Lee r both experts of taijutsu.But Gai might not crumble under genjutsu users as he said during when he interferred the fight btw itachi and kisame vs kakashi,asuma,kurenai.It was i think 138 manga chapter or sometime between it(i am not sure of the exact chapter but there is....somewhere in the manga).And Gai can also use ninjutsu that is summoning tech of large red tortoise which he summoned during the chunin exms to stop lee from fighting.Except tht i agree to u.

No Naruto wont learn Flying thunder god technique cause he can't use time/space technique, only minato can and madara using EMS's supreme copy ability O_-
naruto will defeated pain and his 6 paths without needing to use kyuubis chakra why will he need dat..................

Gai simply avoided itachis tsukyomi by not looking into itachis eyes and looking at his feet.
However later in the manga itachi used his finger to plant a genjutsu onto naruto, and itachi also said he can use any part of his body to cast genjutsu.
Genjutsu isnt limited to just eye techs, taijutsu requires no chakra molding.
Lee and Gai cannot mold their chakra (physical/spiritual) to make ninjutsu or genjutsu.
To block or dispel a genjutsu requires that capability, so once lee or gai are under a genjutsu-they have lost immediately.
Im not saying gai or lee are weak, im just saying against most if not all genjutsu users they are screwed, and theyd also have a tough time dealing with ninjutsu as well..
Kakashi honestly seems half bored with Gai as his rival etc, and i am pretty sure Kakashi could own Gai.
Kakashi is certainly faster than Gai, and Kisame is DEFINITELY stronger than Gai.
Gai's taijutsu wasnt doing anything to Kisame, hell kisame was having a great time playing around with him.
Gai's a standard Jounin.
Lees a standard Chuunin.
In theory Gai could become a high levelled Jounin, and Lee the same, but thats there peak and itd take scrutinous amounts of work and years for them to achieve it.
The gate openers are there trump moves which make them a lot more powerful, it makes them temporarily stronger than kages, however note the word temporary, VERY temporary.
And after that they require a lot of time to regenerate and heal.
1vs1 gates makes it simply a tie/draw because both will be out cold at the end.

The thing is that he won't crumble against genjutsu users or ninjutsu users until he is in the genjutsu but he is a superior jounin so like every other jounin he can break most of the genjutsu! kakashi the sharingan user himself said they have fought each other many times and gai has won 1 fight more... so its tht.... Gai might not be stronger against genjutsu users but he will not crumble!!!!He will give a good fight to any user. And i am not talking abt lee cz he hasn't reached the level of gai.
yes Gai may not be able to mold chakra for gen or nin but we cannot say yet tht he cannot use nin coz he can do summoning tech which is ninjutsu!!!And Genjutsu is not Unbreakable so if Gai gets into genjutsu, he might be able to break it coz he is a superior jounin.

Im so happy someone understands what ive been trying to point out! LOL.
Gai and Lee not being able to mold chakra makes them slaves to genjutsu and they have to be very cautious of ninjutsu.
As long as you have medium/long range ninjutsu you can beat Lee or Gai by remaining calm, keeping a distance, and pushing them into corners with well aimed ninjutsu techs.

some people are saying you got to be fast like lee and have good taijutsu but in the anime it just shows the fourth throwing the kunai and the summoning characters moves onto the opponenet.. so why would you need to learn taijutsu and work on your speed? isnt it a reverse kuchiyose or something?
Gai can mold chakra and probably use ninjutsu, he just chooses not to. (how do you think he uses kuchiyose no jutsu to summon his Turtle, though we've only seen it once)
Thats the main reason that Lee's "Become a ninja with only taijutsu" was so weird, because he's the first to do it.

ya that's right but he can summon red turtle who han help him disrupt the chakra flow.like Jiraiya said, to break one's genjutsu there should be another person that would help one break it so that's it. and he is a superior jounin so before fightning a genjutsu user, he have every thing prepared!!!

thnx for wonderful post but other thn minato who knows tht justu is a secret may be known to jiyariya and 3 rd hokage since 3rd hokage now all justu...........and jiyariya is sensei of 4th hokage but both r dead than who goin ? to teach naruto it may be only kakshi because he bears the kunai given to him by 4th hokage and he is perfect in copyin justu so may be learn tht by copyin it...................................let see wht there is in future manga...........:naruto:
