I like the fact that this technique can create a water source, thus fuelling another technique that needs a water source..
How to counter it: Hmm, I think to counter this, just simply get out of its range (dodging it)

This is a very quick technique to do, but it’s not very strong..
How to counter it: Use a Doton style jutsu to counter it, because the water would just be absorbed into the earth to the point where it just becomes muddy.

I like this technique because it can be used to trap the opponent, but it isn’t very powerful.
How to counter: Hmm, I would counter this by using a B-Rank fire technique to evaporate the water.

The good thing about this technique is that it doesn’t requite handseals, and it can be done quickly.
How to counter: To counter this, I would continually dodge it, or I would use Earth style or a high rank fire style jutsu to dissipate it.

A very good advantage of this technique is that it creates a water cource.
How to counter: To counter it, use a high ranked Fire style jutsu (a stream or constant fire jutsu) to evaporate all the water, or you can use a earth style jutsu to defend against it..
1) But what if it's formed next to you? I don't suggest using the "get out of range" escape method. It's not really rewarding since your opponent can intercept you if he realizes what you're doing. What I would do then would be creating earth spikes or any environment changing earth technique to prevent you from moving. I suggest you blow the vortex with a strong wind and force it to "fall" onto the opponent instead of you. ;)

2) Yes, that would do. A simple earthen structure would be good since it's a focused technique.

3) Ok, but it's forming all around you and most fire techniques are being spit from your mouth. You'd evaporate a part of the water. What about the rest?

4) This one is easier to evade since it's only short ranged. However, because of its short range and use in close quarter battles it can surprise you. You could use it the same way. For example, you're having a tai fight and you forced your opponent to lift up from the ground in order to avoid your leg sweep. As you're finishing your rotation you can create the slicer to prevent him from landing and since he's mid air he has reduced mobility anyway.

5) Yeah, that's the point of this whole method. They create water sources. What's good about it, it's its large scale. You can also redirect the flow of water with earth techniques. Maybe split the earth and force it to sink or redirect it back at the opponent with walls, etc.

Alright understood!
So for the 3rd technique, can I use a Strong wind jutsu to dissipate the water and send it back to my opponent?

P.S. Sorry for the late reply, I was busy with some stuff..

I don't see it working. If there's water in a 360 around you, blowing a wind, stream of fire, etc wouldn't get rid of the 360. You need something that is wide and can reach all around you. An earthen armor could help you move out of the "prison" once it forms.

Alright then.

(Suiton: Hahonryuu) - Water Style: Destruction Torrent
Rank: B
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short/Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: A water vortex created in the palm of the user’s hand that can then be blasted forward creating a spiraling wall of water which can then be used to attack or defend.
Note: No water source required

As the description suggests, you create a vortex from your palm. This obviously doesn't require a water source since it creates one on its own. As you gather the chakra in your hand you thrust your hand forward and you release the chakra from your palm and using shape manipulation, you force it to spiral and create a wall of sorts that can both attack the opponent and is wide enough to defend you.

(Suiton: Ja No Kuchi) - Water Style: Water Snakes Mouth
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: After performing the required hand seals Monkey → Rat → Tiger → Dragon → Horse → Dragon it then allows the user to summon a large amount of water. The water then transforms itself into the shape of a snake and crashes down on their enemy, literally swallowing them. After it has swallowed them it turns into a river

As you can see, after the sequence of handseals you generate a spinning vortex of water out of thin air and then you transform it into a snake that you send at your opponent. The water swallows the opponent and carries it away. What's good about this technique as the whole method, it generates out of no where, meaning it's its own water source, which allows you to follow up with techniques that require a water source, which will be the next method.

(Suiton: Mizurappa) - Water Release: Water Horn
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user creates a big jet of water that is launched from their mouth. This technique works exceptionally well with Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique to help it become like cement.

A simple jet of water blown from your mouth. It works very well with the technique mentioned, but you can use it in a similar manner with other techniques, as well. You can, again, further manipulate it into other techniques, or you can simply blow the opponent away and sweep him from his feet.

(Suiton: Haran Banshō) - Water Release: Storm Upheaval
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique allows the user to summon a massive amount of water from the sky, crushing it into the opponent. If needed, the user can cancel the technique in an instant.
Note: The water needs to be summoned at least 10 meters above the opponent to have any real effect.

A very much loved technique in our RP. A lot of people find good use for this technique and it never disappointed me, so far. It always served its purpose and I love to use it as a distraction. Most of the time people will say that they see a shadow on the ground and then look up. That's exactly what you want. It's enough for start your next technique and I suggest the water prison that doesn't require your hand, because if he launches an attack at the falling water, he will be left unprotected from below.

(Suiton: Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user performs the snake hand seal and creates a large volume of water from their mouth spilling it toward the ground and lifting them up into the air. The user can also ride the wave, allowing him to travel at high speeds and attacking the enemy. The user can create a small ocean worth of water even in barren conditions and can use the water for additional techniques.

This is just a massive jutsu that resembles an ocean and it allows you to ride the waves. It's very big and very fast. As you start expelling the water you do so in a jet-like manner, which allows you to lift yourself, which can then also be used as a defense. It's good against fire because not only it will extinguish it because of the large volume, but it will also move your of the way of the fire and also attack the opponent at the same time. If he doesn't react properly he will be drowned.

This is a very large and fast technique, ideal for countering large Katon jutsus.
How to counter: To counter this, I would use a wall of earth or use a large scale earth jutsu to absorb it.

I like that you can incorporate this technique into other techniques, to create stronger or more defensive techniques. I can use this technique to either shoot myself backwards by aiming the jet on the ground, or I can use it to push my opponent backwards.
How to counter: Hmm, to counter this, I would use an earth technique to absorb the water as well as evaporate the jet stream with a fire technique of a stronger rank.

I can see why this technique is loved in the NB RP, its awesome.
How to counter: Well, to counter this, I would create a very strong earth wall on top of me or around me. Or I would go underground before the technique hits me. I can also use a technique that grabs my opponent, like a water whip, and make him end the technique, because, as you said, the user can cancel the technique in an instant.

I love this technique because of its speed and travelling factor, riding on a wave to attack the enemy.

How to counter: I’d stay air born for a while, long enough to use a lightning based attack to electrocute my opponent. If that doesn’t work, then I can hide underground for a while.

Yes, I'm glad we can both agree that earth is strong against and the best counter for water. xD

(Suiton: Suijinheki) - Water Style: Water Encampment Wall
Rank: A
Type: Defence/Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This defensive jutsu creates a wall of water around the user. The user will use the following hand seals to activate the technique Tiger → Snake → Rat → Snake → Tiger. Enemy attacks are completely intercepted by a fence of water blown out from the mouth, and is raised from below with tremendous might. The water is blown out in the form of a circle around the user, and it makes for a defence without openings. It is also possible for the user to control the amount of water and duration at will. Furthermore, because the field of vision is maintained even while defending one can easily go on to the next move, which is a great advantage. The wall can also be formed from a pre-existing water source.

Well, this is one of the strongest defensive water techniques. It forms a wall in front of you that can defend against techniques and can be controlled as well as maintained for a duration of time. You also see the opponent through the water, so that you can easily see his next moves and act accordingly. Since it's defensive, when would you use this to defend and against what?

(Suiton: Dai Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave
Rank: A
Type: Offensive,Supplementary
Range: Short - Long
Chakra cost: 30
Damage points: 60
Description: This technique is a stronger version of exploding water colliding wave technique. The user will first perform the ram hand seal and then spits out a large amount of water that covers an entire area, with massive waves that can crush the opponent. The user then forms the water into a giant orb, instead of releasing like weaker version of the technique.

Simple, just stronger than the B rank version. I don't really have anything to add, other than that you form an orb instead of letting the water loose.

This is a very interesting and useful jutsu. The disadvantage though is the amount of handseals, a bit time consuming. Some would say that a disadvantage for this technique would be that its not offensive, but I don’t see that as a disadvantage, because what it lacks in offense, it makes up in defense.
I would use this to defend against powerful attacks that my opponent launches at me, the wall of water will intercept the attacks, thus rendering it useless.
I can use this technique to defend against alot of things, such as weapons, fire, wind attacks etc.

I don’t really know a way to counter this technique, except maybe using a very strong fire attack to evaporate the water…however, as you said, the technique can be controlled and maintained for a long period of time, so a fire attack may not help, unless its continuous, which I’m not sure will help.

A very powerful technique indeed, but it can still be countered my staying air born and electrocuting the opponent with a ration attack, because I believe they can still ride the waves and be in touch with the water. Staying deep underground can help me defend against the technique too..

Yes, a continuous stream of fire would work just as well but you'd need a rank higher and the area would be quickly filled with a lot of steam. As a defense against the "defensive wall" you could use an earthen wall, or some kind of continuous environmental manipulation that would force the opponent to cancel the technique. You could also move the earth beneath him, making a giant hole that he will fill with the water if he doesn't stop it. This also gives you the advantage of position and you can follow up with lightning.

Staying underground sounds like a solution but it's not advisable. I think that it's the worst way of defending because you're very limited down there and it's very hard to come back if the opponent knows you're down. I figure it like this. Imagine it as a balloon. Once you pop the membrane it should lose its focus and fall apart. If you have some kind of earthen manipulation that could also work, but you need something large scaled because of its size.

Alrighty then. Guess what? 3rd method. Now, these techniques revolve around manipulating those previously created water sources. What can you tell me in general about them and their advantages and disadvantages?
Sorry for the delay.
..........................

The 3rd method, the water manipulation method, deals with using water from previously created water sources and manipulating it to perform various techniques that require water sources. To perform this technique, one must expel their chakra into the water source.
For the advantages: To be honest, I don’t know the advantages. I’ve been checking all over but I cannot find anything :( The Method training guide for the basic elements doesn’t have the advantages..

For the disadvantages though: These techniques require a water source inorder to be used. If one is battling in a place without an existing water source and wants to use a technique that requires a water source, they either will not be able to perform that technique or they would have to use another technique to create a water source..

Very good. Yeah, I know it doesn't, that's why I wrote them on my own. :p

Method 3: Water Manipulation

Advantages of Method

The advantages of this method are very obvious. It allows you to use an already created water source to shape as you wish and to fit your needs. This also means that techniques as such allow you to manipulate the sources from a distance which provides some safety while the sources can be manipulated in close range from the opponent, cutting heavily on the travel time and adding more to the unpredictability and difficulty to avoid. This basically means that you can create a water source behind the opponent and then manipulate it into attacking him from his blind side. If you pull it quick enough and maybe with a decoy, he might find it hard to realize there's water forming behind him and being manipulated into his own doom.

Disadvantages of Method

The main disadvantage to this method is the fact that these techniques require a water source in order for you to use. Unlike the last method where you are capable of manifesting large masses of water out of nowhere and even creating a water source, these techniques require a medium that is outside your constant realm of access. In battles where you do not have the pre-existing source of water you become incapable of using these techniques or become forced to set yourself up with a technique that provides you a water source.

Yeah, you should've been able to come up with that too. Alright then, let's see how you manipulate an already created water source. Points towards an imaginary water source. Erm, well... Creates a water source.

*I walk over to the water source that was just created and I place my palms on the surface of the water. I begin focusing my suiton chakra into it and I once both are infused, I manipulate my chakra and make the water take the form of a small wave and I send it crashing towards a nearby tree*

Alright, now a vortex and then a water dragon.

*I place my palms once again on the surface of the water. I start focusing my suiton chakra into the water. When I feel that the water is infused with my chakra, I manipulate the water and start rotating it, giving it a spinning motion. Then, I draw the chakra infused water out of the lake, and create a spinning vortex*

*I place my hands on the water's surface, once more, and I start focusing my suiton chakra into the water and incorporating the two together. I start shaping the water into something looking like a dragon and I send it crashing on top of a nearby tree*

Shape manipulation. That's the key. Basically, all the techniques that follow are more or less the same, with the same characteristics but different shapes and details. Now, let's proceed. :)

(Suiton No Jutsu) - Water technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary/Attack/Defence
Range: Short-Mid
Damage Points:20
Description: Creates small waves of water, small blasts, and small shields of water.
Note: Doesn't require a water source but can be used to manipulate existing water.

You can, but you're not obliged to use a pre-existing water source. You basically manipulate the water source to create small waves and objects out of water. It's really the most simple and basic water technique.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

Same as the above, you don't need to use a water source. You can release it from your mouth. It's a densely packed mist that is infused with your chakra. Because of this, it's impossible for a sharingan to distinguish your figure within it, thus why it's the best technique against the Sharingan. Then you can also combo it with the silent killing and he's left to your mercy. However, Byakugan can see through the mist so it's not advisable to use it against them. +

*I begin gathering a good amount of chakra and sending it to my lungs. Once I think I've gathered enough, I send it to my mouth and I release it into the atmosphere in the form of a thick chakra infused mist, which quickly covers the entire area*

I like this technique ^^
