Whilst i've grown to dislike Kakashi, I do agree.

Team 7 are an easy group to focus on but they're really not the most interesting. Team Guy are the best visually and are the most fun but Kishi never actually does anything cool with them and it's just fan interpretations and the spin-off that lets them flourish, going by just the manga Team Guy really don't come across as strongly written as they should be.

Team 10 have always been my personal favourite, it's ridiculous how all 3 have had miles more interesting and realistic character development than all of Team 7 put together.
Team Guy is awesome =D
But they get trolled hard they got 2 of the strongest genins among them but they get turned into random background ninja. Their relationships had potential too imo. Better than Naruto yelling Sasuke's name and Sakura crying about doing nothing.

I only like Kakashi and somewhat Sasuke from team 7.

stating facts, Gaara is a full fledged naruto fanboy.

Even though i like Gaara; this is true.

Team 7 is a joke as an overall concept it is not much thing to being decent in appeal compared to them.

I hate the god complex that Kishi is making them out to be.

Naruto represents Hashirama, Minato, SO6P, Obito, Kakashi and Jiraiya
Sakura represents Mito, Tsunade, Kushina and Rin
And Sasuke represents Madara, Kakashi, Orochimaru.

It's like who don't they parallel?

I'm annoyed at the fact that Tenten was the one who first proclaimed that she wanted to be like Tsunade, but Sakura who didn't even like her at the time became her prodigy just because of similar personalities and Tenten was thrown into the background.

Naruto also has never felt like the underdog to me from the moment that prophecy was revealed, Rock Lee is way more of an underdog.

And the whole perfect teamwork between Naruto and Sasuke is disrespectful. You cannot only just meet each other and have picture perfect combinations whilst other teams have had to work for months to master it (Ino-Shika-Cho).

And don't even get me started on the TNJ bull. It was that same thing that severely trolled Neji's character and Nagato's.

Their interactions seem so forced that I don't receive any effect from it,
The only member I like is Kakashi.

Paralleles do not make dynamics more interesting; if they were actually mismatched; not somewhat destined it would be more interesting.

Their relationships between each other is poorly written and overplayed.

"I wanna see team 7 together lel" "the dream team united" What dream team? They never displayed an act of a team in a decent way but the idea somehow gets pushed in.

The combined techs are just cliche, overplayed and boring.

Yeah I agree their relationships are poor. In Team Guy I get the connection I'm supposed to be feeling from Team 7 in them. Neji and Lee are both training and supporting each other to become strong, Lee is helping Tenten with her progress like a true comrade and Neji cares about her. And Gai's just there to be awesome =D

gaaras change wasnt sudden. he learnt that naruto was correct about true strength coming from comrades throughout the course of the fight. he repented after learning naruto had the same pain but struggled past it, which made him look inwards and decide his own path wasnt the right way. he was struggling with his good side ever since he saw gai save lee.

naruto is given all the credit for the "talk no jutsu" but he barely said anything. narutos actions proved his words true. it takes a real man to look inwards and think "maybe the way im going about this is wrong".

Sigh.. Gaaras change wasn't just from Naruto. It was also from KAnkuro and Temari who's been by his side the entire time.

There should have been explored character development between Part 1 and 2. This would have made for excellent development.
In Part 1, he had good development. Naruto felt his pain and was able to change. in the Sasuke retrieval Act, he wasn't all about friendship, it was just a mission. that's good. His development from "kill them wall" to "friends are good" wasn't rushed.
then Part 2 happens. Gaara is all mature and is all about friendship in stark contrast to his evil and not-completely-redeemed self from the Sasuke retrieval Arc. This is so-so character development because it is unexplored character development.

the remedy could have been simply to show that Gaara still has serious flaws in Part 2. For example, an Akatsuki gets into the village. Gaara freaks out and nearly sand coffins a guard but he catches himself, apologizes and goes to save the village. As he's protecting it from Diedara, he has flashbacks to that. This shows us that he genuinely regretted losing his temper and cares for the village now.
Furthermore, he could have forgiven the village but absolutely refused to forgive Chiyo with good cause. He becomes Kazekage and exiles her up the mountain. When Chiyo (fresh from character development upon realizing she was responsible for Sasori) sees Gaara's corpse, she regrets what she did to Gaara and gives him life to right the wrongs of the past. Gaara is shocked by what Chiyo did and vows to further control his temper and become a better Kazekage. Thus, Gaara has development in Part 2 as well. We see the transition. It is not implied as it in the beginning of Part 2. This would have made the development better.

Sigh.. Gaaras change wasn't just from Naruto. It was also from KAnkuro and Temari who's been by his side the entire time.

exactly but I just wish this kind of development was explored more.

yeah, and that was good development. Gaara wasn't evil but ruthless. Then in Part 2, he's not ruthless at all. When Sasuke attacks the Five Kage, he hesitates and has to be convinced to attack. When Deidara attack the Sand, he didn't ruthlessly attack Deidara. He defended the village. He has very few flaws. This change from being not evil but ruthless to not ruthless was never explored. Thus, it's bad development. He had good development in Part 1. Then he doesn't receive sufficient explored development to justify the changes in his character in Part 2.

I don't particularly like how they parallel as well. It seems too forced and makes characters less unique.

I think Kishimoto mentioned about Tenten being his favorite kunoichi when it comes to drawing.

I don't know if Kishimoto actually wanted Naruto be the underdog of the manga, actually. I think he just wanted Naruto to be someone that inspired others with his story. Making the whole "untalented brat with no skills" in part one probably was just a minor part of it. It ended before Shippuden begun. It got completely crushed after Naruto learned the Kage Bunshin training method(the thing that makes him learn faster than any talented character. It threw 60% of part 1 out the window).

Yes, perfect teamwork is disrespectful... But Kishimoto did give us an excuse for it. The whole "two opposite forces", "younger son and elder son" thingy. I still think he could've done that part better. Sasuke and Naruto had good teamwork against Zabuza. But sometimes they'd just ignore it... It was full of inconsistencies. It's something that should've been developed in part 1 instead of the individualism of both Naruto and Sasuke. But the fact that they have perfect teamwork stands.

I don't particularly like Naruto's Fuuton as well. It's not the element, but how he learned it.
It was something that was completely overlooked, but there are personalities linked to those elements. Wind fits Naruto almost perfectly. But, strangely enough, it was just something used in one jutsu. It took him several chapters to learn... In the anime, they gave it several filler episodes... Just to use it in one jutsu.
