I see no Preta-Path active. Nagato didn't absorb Susanoo because he couldn't react. Even if Preta-Path was useless, Nagato would've protected himself by other means, for example with Shinra Tensei if h noticed.

Sometimes people talk nonsense. Preta-Path absorbs Chakra in any form and shape. Susanoo is Chakra, hence there is no reason why Preta-Path won't absorb Susanoo unless the opposite was stated or demonstrated.

No, that's not conclusive, hard evidence. I have two options, punch through a glass window or smash it with something. Its a fact that I can do both, but I choose to smash it with something, does that mean I couldn't have used my hand? No, it was just faster and easier to use something to smash it.

The only thing it adds is the Senjutsu Susanoo, which Nagato can't completely absorb unless he wants to turn into a statue. Other than that Sasuke's attacks are still getting absorbed w/o trouble and CT is still a finisher.
