the first was on a whole other level... so my answer is no.. but as soon as naruto learns to controll the ninetails he would be better then any character
wow are u being foreal first of all sage mode cant go against mandar 1v1 he get pwned hes not even on tha same lvl as tha 4th yet and tha 1st went againt mandra ems and tha 9tails all by his self naruto cnt do lol he cnt even controll tha 9tials and tha 2nd was tha greatest water user ever haha and how can tha ms beat tha ems

The first was pretty bad ass, Like WTF! Is he serious....(beat madara and nine tails, granted he had all seven mist swordmens special swords)
However the nine tails alone pwned pein(**** what anyone says, the nine tails wore him out, naruto was ****ed until he lost control)
So if naruto could truly control that power, or learned a new element lmao
then might have a chance at beating the 1st.

naruto has definitely surpassed the second(when he is in sage mode)and he is somewhere near the first but it will be long before he catches up with the fourt.
you dont need to put too much on kages 'cause a freak like zabuza assassined mizukage and a handicapped,filthy guy like danzo is hokage
i really hope they dont carve danzo's face on the mountain.It will spoil everything.The village itself will look ugly

Zabuza didnt assassinate the mizukage he failed and ran off. And the 1st is dead bcuz orochi summond his corpse and the third sealed it in the shinigami's belly. And the 2nd can make kage lvl water jutsu without a water source so he is pretty darn strong
He didn't defeat him, he convinced him that he is not doing right and Nagato killed himself. If Yahiko had his powers from the beginning the situation might have been very different. Nagato was indeed very powerful.
If Naruto wanted to kill Nagato out of revenge, he was in position to do so, and Nagato couldn't stop him at that point. After god realm went down Nagato had to either retreat, try to control Naruto's chakra (which failed), make peace, or die. He chose the latter two. He knew going into Konoha would take up chakra, battles aren't fought with honor but with outcomes. No amount of chakra would've been enough to hold the Kyuubi in 9-tails form most likely, so that's not really an issue. Naruto defeated the final body using the five second rule, not chakra depletion.
Naruto could've stuffed a Rasengan down his throat.

The hard part with Nagato is defeating the 6 bodies of Pein and finding Nagato in his wheelchair while resisting the chakra rods. If you can do that, you win. Naruto did it. He didn't kill Nagato because he's trying to bring peace to the ninja world and not perpetuate it by revenge.
None of this takes away from Nagato, but people can't knock what Naruto accomplished by taking out the 2nd most powerful ninja at the time after Madara.
That's my opinion anyway.
I would have to agree, i think that they COULD possibly be pretty close to the 1st and 2nd hokages power/skill but the 1st kage was strong enough to fight madara,control the bijuu's and had a bloodline limit (to control wood i think) and the 2nd kage was really good with water.
Together they were really good for element combo attacks.
If Naruto and Sasuke learned a few more jutsus, and trained a little more, i would say that they would be stronger then anyone at kage lvl, they would be on their own lvl that surpasses that of the kages.
Naruto of course would still be the stronger of the two.
NOTE: the 3rd hokage was able to fight the 1st AND 2nd hokage PLUS Orochimaru, and he was like 80 yrs old and he beat the 1st and 2nd kage
