Genjutsu is an illusion based form of ninjutsu, by spreading chakra within an opponent the user has the ability to manipulate that person's senses leading them to believe in what the user sees fit, such effects can cause the opponent to suffer excessive mental damage but would have there physical unaffected, such manipulation would be having the opponent feel different effects towards their bodies including being punched, kicked or even stabbed in a certain area, they can also be caught in a Genjutsu that has the surrounding terrain completely changed causing them to become confused & lose focus towards there opponent. The best use of Genjutsu would be manipulating an opponent into a state of fear which could cause the opponent to breakdown rendering them unable to move this is due to them being mentally incapacitated. Genjutsu mainly places someone in a situation that could either be realistic enough so that the opponent finds it hard to distinct it from reality or could create an illusion that suffers in realism but makes up for in mental effects.

So, my genjutsu training is a bit different from everyone else. Atleast i would like to think so. It is my specialty and as you being the PS. I am not going to just breeze through this training. You will have a clear understanding of the concept of genjutsu.

The first stage is to actually learn the techniques. You have a grasp of chakra and ninjutsu. Always remember genjutsu is a tool in combat/battle. You need to have a plan and not just use techniques for the hell of it. If you do, it will actually backfire and hurt you rather than be effective.

Also to add, you do not list "genjutsu" as mastered once we finish the techniques as I go more in depth with the concepts. You genjutsu will be always labeled as "In progress". You are not allowed to submit customs without finishing this training or are you allowed to use genjutsu techniques until i say otherwise.

Understood???

Alright this is how it'll work.

I'll post a jutsu. Then you will break it down completely ranging from how you would identify it to how you would use those hints in the descriptions to break it.

First technique

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

Being able to distinguish this genjutsu depends mainly on how the opponent would alter the surrounding terrain, something as swift as creating spikes of earth to emerge toward the opponent would not leave them any time to figure the genjutsu but would make for an obvious distraction, with the after effects easily noticeable to the opponent as this particular genjutsu has no bearing on the opponent but the surround earth, causing the spikes to ghost through them. The best way to detect this jutsu is to rely on your senses, if the opponent creates a blaze of fire to spread from the ground & around you but you feel no heat, it would be easily considered a genjutsu, if the opponent causes a large amount of earth to shift around you but you feel no vibrations, it leads to the conclusion you are caught in a genjutsu.

Not bad but what if when the user puts you in a genjutsu and do make spikes and you have no choice but to be peirced through it, what happens? Or what do you THINK happens next?

Due to Genjutsu effecting the person's senses, they do not physically feel the pain of the stabbing but are dealt with a traumatic attack that causes numerous effects to take place after, leading to mental trauma which branches out either paralysis, fatigue or if weak willed, instantly fainting, any of which leaving an opening for the opponent to attack.

howevver false surrounding doesn't do that. It just alters terrain a bit. So what would happen when the spike peirces you?

They wouldn't, as it is a genjutsu that alters the terrain, the spikes would do no more than phase through the target which would have them come to an obvious conclusion of it being a genjutsu. The genjutsu itself is used more to intimidate, confuse or/and distract the opponent, using the spike example again, it would be used to distract the opponent as they see the spikes emerge from the ground leading them to try & counter it, while they do the user can then strike the opponent as they deal with the genjutsu.

A question.. When the spikes do emerge, I am guessing they would not create any vibrations across the ground due to it not actually altering the terrain or even make any sound, but would the opponent see the ground around the spikes crumble apart as it emerges or would it just look like it phased through the ground.

I will answer your question a bit later but tell me, what if the person didn't react to it and just stepped on the spikes? what would happen next?

The only thing coming to mind is that the spike would just phase through the user's foot.

Nothing, as the genjutsu has run its course the illusion would dispel

exactly. when the genjutsu ends. It ends. So if there was a visual fireball genjutsu, it doesn't repeat it self and appear in front of you again. Once it pass' through thats it.

Any questions?

Yeh....When the spikes do emerge, I am guessing they would not create any vibrations across the ground due to it not actually altering the terrain or even make any sound, but would the opponent see the ground around the spikes crumble apart as it emerges ( and is that something the opponent could alter as it is their own illusion) or would it just look like it phased through the ground.
