The finale was close ended, all questions were answered.
The scenes with Elliot & Gretchen was so dark and incredible, I expected them to get confronted but not in this way, it got me to a point where I believed "Wow, he's really gonna kill them" then I didn't know what to think when the "infra red" lasers were revealed. it was a great scare tactic in my opinion.
I knew Walt would confront Lydia in some form or fashion, I just didn't think it would be so up close and personal. Him using the Ricen on her was obvious, I predicted he would in another thread. Since the Grey Matter interview he saw revealed that the Blue was in Europe he knew she had a hand in it, so inevitably she had to go.
Jesse not killing Walt: Walt gave Jesse the opportunity to make his own choice unlike previous encounters where Walt made him do what he says. One of the conversations they had included Jesse expressing to Walt that he will never do anything he says (After he made him kill Gale) so it only makes sense that when Walt asks Jesse to kill him, he chooses not to, exercising his free will after being enslaved.
Skylar won't go to jail for obvious reasons, the phone call Walt made when he "kidnapped" Holly made everyone but Walt blameless, The rest is tied up rather cleverly with Walt providing the coordinates of Hank & Gomez's burial site in order to make a deal with the DEA.
It was a great ending in my humble opinion, what else could you expect really?
What did you guys think? I love this show, loved the ending, love the writing & Directing.
Please let me know if you think Vince could have done better and how.
PS: Marie said "Walt thinks he's some criminal master mind" proved her wrong.
