Kakashi has to use MS to use kamui, why?

Obito used it to slip thru the bolder that crushed him but didn't awaken MS till after rin died...

I think i fell in a plot ditch

Tell us the manga chapter and/or page, Itachi once used Tsukuyomi without activating his MS, and besides did you see Obito's left while he was crushed?

That's when it was first shown they awakened it, but it's a possibility he could have awakened it before they showed it.

He didn't use kamui on the boulder. Madara saved him from the rubble and then healed him. Plus, obito is more equipped with the sharingan thanks to madara teaching him while kakashi, not an uchiha, had to learn it all on his own.

The manga says otherwise i.e. obito slipped through it (with his kamui), Obito is better with the sharigan because he is an Uchiha and has Hashirama's cells.

I think the boulder incident was normal, there was no phasing through or anything, Kishi may have just been using some word play when Madara said that thing. I first thought it was an MS technique but have seen him phasing & teleport while still using a normal sharingan(if I'm not mistaken) & another thing that makes me think its a sharingan is the fact Obito has never showed any sign of fatigue after using Kamui, unlike of MS users who do >.>.


It would make more sense if it was just a normal Sharingan tech though, then I could believe that Obito slipped through the boulders midway of the accident unconsciously realizing it.

Kamui is the only thing that "slips thru" why would Madara say that then with no knowledge inkamui

Actually, Madara said it's almost like he slipped through. Obito didn't really slip through, he just barely avoided being crushed long enough to get saved.

When Rin DIED , and when Obito awakened his Sharingan, he started on 2 tomoe..
after he witnessed Rin's DEATH, he quickly went to 3 tomoe and MS seemingly all in one motion.
The fact that Obito awakened his sharingan on 2 tomoe and skipped 1 tomoe
is probably because Madara implanted Zetsu (or something) inside Obito when he was too young to remember.
Obito is the only sharingan user to skip 1 tomoe and go straight to two.

Madara said its like he slipped through.. putting it in the head of Obito.
Zetsu can also slip through the earth quite easily . Zetsu were in the cave before Obito was so obviously they were probably the ones who pulled Obito from underneath the boulder.

Madara may have been the one who caused the boulder.

Obito didn't use Kamui to end up in Madara's cave. When the cave collapsed, the ground gave in and he simply fell down into Madara's hideout. That's what Madara meant.
