Is this seriously an argument? Music is not about dance, or catchy beats. Go back to that Club in the Hood and get out of here with your terrible logic. Music is ART. Art is wonderous and is an essential part of life and what makes up CREATIVITY. Pop music LACKS CREATIVITY. I don't care if you appreciate pop and it makes you happy, that is by all means above fine by my standards, but it's not my problem that you listen to songs that are not music, that are disgracing the name that is music, which is ART.
