It's been obvious from the beginning that Sasuke will surpass Madara. Why? because the current generation surpasses the previous

Sasuke being defeated by the Fourth Raikage while Madara being able to defeat him and other four easily; that is an incredibly unfair comparison. Madara was an edo that couldn't die. he also had unlimited chakra. he had EMS so no pain when using MS techs. he had the Rinnegan. He had several decades more experience than Sasuke. Of course, Madara is superior to Sasuke in terms of fighting skill. This doesn't mean Sasuke can't surpass him eventually.

yes, Itachi and Madara are smarter than Sasuke but Sasuke is still clever. He planned out a strategy to defeat Itachi which didn't work because he didn't know about Sussano and because Itachi was then more powerful than Sasuke. He also was able to quickly formulated tactics to use against Deidara and Danzo.

...but Madara's determination made him become more powerful by his own. Sasuke is only relying on everybody's aid; and if you remember, when Karin became "useless" he pierced Danzo through her...now that's a real scumbag!

this is unfair. Sasuke worked to become what he is. Sure, he didn't train to get cursed seal or MS but he trained to master it. It took three years for him to master curse seal. he worked to master MS. If he pulled out sussano in his fight with Bee, then this critique would be valid. but he didn't he worked to master the techniques. he figured out how to summon the black flames and then he worked to master them. he summoned ribcage Sussano then he mastered it to created incomplete sussano and then he worked on it again to get complete sussano. Sasuke's hobby is listed as training.

as for Karin, this was nothing to go with Sasuke obtaining powers. Yes, it was a scumbag move. However, it's no worse than Madara trying to force Obito to die in order to bring him back to life. At least, Sasuke apologized to Karin.

The only thing Sasuke can thank Itachi for is EMS, but didn't Madara take his brother's eyes as well? Is there a reason why you think the current Sasuke, the one with EMS, is no stronger than the one with an immature MS, and why he can't increase in power?

to be honest... Sasuke and naruto are still 16-18 Years and have not even came close to their prime / peak power. So its definitely plausible. Sasuke has many jutsus that put him on different levels from the average ninja without even using MS. Only time will tell how good he gets though

Your example that Sasuke almost lost against the Raikage is rather invalid when compared to Madara's fight. Sasuke had MS, and barely experience in it. Madara had Edo, EMS, Rinnegan, Perfect Sussano'o and more experience than Sasuke with the Sharingan. Sasuke right now wouldn't lose to Raikage.. ( I doubt he would be able to destroy the 5 Kage like Madara did, but he might in the future. )

even if they have the same jutsus at their disposal, i'm sure that Madara would be still more clever than Sasuke in using them.
