After the recent chapter revealing Madara's "true" motive, I have a feeling he might be able to persuade Sasuke to join his side somehow or at least that Sasuke will eventually turn against the alliance.
They both have very similar goals, the only difference is that Madara's goal is achieved through an illusion which Sasuke disagrees with.
However, Madara says to Hashirama that chakra made the battles and wars of the world more devastating, which means that their can never be peace as long as this power remains in the hands of shinobi; calling shinobi the symbol of foolishness at the same time.
Sasuke has witnessed that foolishness first hand, with his family and clan being murdered by the shinobi system. He says he wishes to become Hokage, but what his goal as "Hokage" is still unknown. He did say that he wanted to put an end to the shinobi system and create one anew.....
It sounds very similar to what Madara wants, the only difference is that Sasuke said he didn't want to use genjutsu because that would render all sacrifices in vain which helped create something real and not an illusion.
Sasuke has shown to not really care for the shinobi either.......when Obito was about to annihilate the alliance, Sasuke planned to run away and only take Juugo and Naruto with him, disregarding everyone else entrapped.
Madara may give Sasuke an idea by trying to persuade him and create another Obito scenario or Sasuke will join him for real.
I feel as though when the opportunity presents itself, most likely after the defeat of Madara and Obito, Sasuke will try to do something else to end the shinobi system or take away chakra, which will turn the alliance and most importantly Naruto against him, paving way to the "final battle" between Sasuke and Naruto.
