Man you're right. They need more spotlight where we can see how much they improved than they were before.
I like to see all the K11 to become Jonin and for them to be famous so they can be look up to like their clan leaders. Like for example:
Rock Lee- like you said him becoming a Jonin and having students for him to train and teach them to never give up
Ten Ten- become a Jonin where she can be in charge of Konoha's Ninja Tool system and train others how to use them, and definitely needs more spotlight, along with becoming the Hokage's bodyguard
Neji- take his uncle's place and surpass him
Kiba- become a Jonin, be the Head of the Inuzuka Clan, and surpass his mother and sister
Shino- become a Jonin, be the Head of the Aburama Clan and advancing his ninjutsu
Hinata- become a Jonin, and surpass her father, and be the Hokage's bodyguard and be assistance to Neji, and to have a one on one fight with a strong opponent
Ino- become a Jonin, improve her mind-affecting techniques and overcome some of the risks, in charge of the Intel Division and head of the Yamanaka Clan along with being assistance of the Medical Corp, (has a lot to do) and for her to get a spotlight where she can take on strong opponents
Shikamaru- become a Jonin, be the head of the Nara Clan, improve his shadow techniques some more by advancing his limits, and surpass his father's intelligence level
Choji- become a Jonin, surpass his father, and be the head of the Akimichi Clan
The fights where they could've had.
Ino-Shika-Cho vs. Kakuzu and Hidan- I would like to see what would've happen if Kakashi didn't showed up and I'm pretty sure Shikamaru did came up with something when he didn't came along but since he did he thought of something else.
That's pretty much it.=D
Lee would easily be the next Gai. Training his students of protecting what is precious and teach them no matter what they have they can be splendid ninja.
Neji should definitely have become the clan lead. It could have been a perfect opportunity to show the change in Hyuga and most likely had Hinata also been developed it would have shown their relationship and Hinata not caring for her position (giving it to one who's earned it).
Agree with Hinata. Would have liked her to show much more of her own style and maybe a change in eyes to reflect it. Also helping show her character better in giving her birthright to Neji.
Tenten would definitely be the weapons craftsman and overseer. Completely agree.
I'd add Anbu for Kiba and Shino in addition.
Ino is seemingly already on par with Inoichi in some departments. I could see her taking over the Intel division (assuming Ibiki isn't around). Would have been cool to see her show some smarts so it isn't all Shikamaru as the brains. As I mentioned a mind destruction jutsu stemming from Shintenshin.
I'd only add Hokage advisor to Shikamaru. And training Kurenai's child.
Not much else to say for Choji. Maybe a Hokage bodyguard. But yeah head of clan.
Main characters are pretty obvious.
Hinata's character is just "kind" in attitude. People don't give their lives for others for mere kindness; they do it out of genuine care; not attitude.
I just did not see anything indicates that she would sacrifice her life for Neji. She ditched her clansman in Pain's invasion arc; God knows what Hyuuga would do to poor man. She jumped over Naruto right after her cousin died, she did not spare mere seconds to close his eyes, not even getting into hand comment. Neji does not refer his other friends with such honorifics; the sama thing suggests he is suppose to see Hinata as his superior and there is still a sense of awkwardness in their relationship.
It is not my fault how the manga is written and how i percieve it. Most of the things suggesting Hinata genuinely and severely caring something other than Naruto consists of fanfiction.
Hinata has more than a "kind" personality she genuinely cares.
After losing, she brings ointment for both Kiba AND Akamaru.
Despite Neji hating her fully and beating her mercilessly, she calls him her brother and doesn't hate him for his actions, even going far enough to understand that he's the one truly suffering.
After Pain's blast, she doesn't care for her state, but desired to find treatment for Ko (the Clansmen you mentioned). Ko wished to refuse because he wanted her safe, where as she wanted to help him.
She didn't really ditch him... He wasn't in danger at that point, and more importantly saving Naruto was a priority that more people should have acted on.
And even recently she was seen rushing over to see how Shikamaru was just by hearing his name called out.
When Neji was out for the eye strain she said she'd do her best. This is despite Shino basically having things covered. Her extra percussion displaying a desire to guarantee safety and to win the war.
She genuinely cares for people because she is one who wishes for peace and harmony.
Honestly she did not jump all over Naruto.... People who dislike het severely over interpret the idea of holding hands. Furthermore Neji was in Naruto's hands not hers... I don't think I've ever seen someone not holding the victim close the eyes in someone else's hands. In addition what's better standing alert against the gigantic juubi or keep mourning Neji's death. Doing the latter would put only more people at risk.
Considering a lack of panel time and even then only panel time near the person she loves... That isn't bad for a side character.
I'm not saying you have any control over the manga nor am I saying you aren't entitles to your opinion, but I personally believe that Hinata has more character than a desperate housewife. Especially since such a person wouldn't likely have a chance to be with Naruto.
