The Problem With Sasuke Uchiha (Not A Hate Thread)

I haven't be on in a while so i won't respond ignorantly to this. Common sense Sasuke main powers come from his dojutsu. But did you say he got the Mangekyo for free? Did he not go thru an intense battled with Itachi? Then learning the truth he awaken his Mangekyo. Kishi has showed us Sasuke training comes with his battles. Bee he used Amaterasu, Kages/ Danzo he unlocked Susano'o. I guess after every life and death battle you want Sasuke to go train smh. After all that he had to face off against Kakashi & Naruto, then he obtained the Eternal. The Kabuto fight that is common sense he wasn't allowed to kill him. Itachi was the leader in that fight, much like how he was against Nagato with Naruto and Bee being helpless. It's funny the last few chapters have you really down on Sasuke, but I'm not his time to shine will come.

As I also stated in my comment. I am not too hung up on "how" he has obtained the new power ups. I get it. his power is in his eyes. But that is not all that Sasuke has at his disposal. He is an exper taijutsu with basic Sharingan. What happened to the combinations of ninja wire and raiton, and the demon windmil shuriken? prepping the battlefield for future attacks? This is the Sasuke I miss. He doesn't really do these things any more.

I agree though i think his time to shine is comming. My greatest fear though is that he will just hide behind Susanoo and Amateratsu and nothing more. I don't mind the use of these jutsu but he is relying very heavily on them even when they fail him. I am hoping he will open his back of Uchiha tricks and go all out soon.

I was cool with that. When the MS was introduced I already knew he'd get it... It was cool mostly because it had a drawback. Blindness and whatnot...

I don't want to deal with it. I want to see the Sasuke I used to know and respect. I can give some constructive critisizm. I am not here to bash Sasuke, i want to see him go all out and really use That EMS the way i know he can. I think he can surpass Madara even. Just chill I am not hating on Sasuke here

Sasuke did train to obtain his powerups even after getting MS, but they were all offscreen .
For example : sasuke getting a hawk. It all happened offscreen and we still dont know how he did it.

All of the techniques used by sasuke are gradually improving which suggests he did train to improve them. For example , he used to bleed when using amaterasu but now he dont . He can use amaterasu in more ways than he could do in MS .
So yeah he is improving , its just that all the battles he fight are his training .


It is funny how u say sasuke powerups are handouts while naruto's aren't .

Naruto was literally given the kyuubi , it was sealed into him right on his birth.
BSM power up didn't require any training.

the thing is , as naruto is the main character, we see every little thing he do in his life, like his training for example, while we dont get to see it in case of sasuke.

Like for example, we saw how naruto develop FRS but we never saw how sasuke develop Kirin . SO it doesnt mean kirin was a free powerup.Similarly just because we have not seen sasuke train with MS, it does not mean he did not train at all.
If you remember , before MS sasuke was going to kage summit, he told juugo he wants to try out something and later it was revealed as the susano. It suggests he did some mental training (if not physical) to develop the susano.


At this point in manga, Naruto and sasuke have done two combo attacks.
There was a chapter which was literally named " you are the main stars" and it highlighted sasuke and naruto.

If we look at current condition in the manga, everyone fighting juubito have had their chakra stolen by the tree , everyone but sasuke and juugo.
This means , at this point, tobirama,minato,naruto .. all are defenseless and Sasuke has to should all the burden.
Hopefully , we will see what else he can do with EMS in upcoming chapters before these guys regenerate their chakra.

The part I put in bold in your comment. I never said Kirin was a handout. In fact I said this was the "Prime" of Sasuke's own jutsu through training much like Naruto's FRS. When I say handouts I am referring to Sasuke's MS and EMS. Mainly EMS. I don't care how he got them. He is an eye person so obtaining that is fine. It's the spaming of these eye tech that bothers me. He is capable of so much more. And I realize that Naruto is now getting free handouts from Karama...but that's for another thread XD

It's more of a problem with Part 2, than just Sasuke. Naruto also has the problem, albeit to a lesser degree than Sasuke. For example, Kakashi suddenly informs us that with shadow clones and Naruto's ridiculous chakra levels, Naruto can get a ton of training in a short amount of time. This is problem because it gives Naruto an unfair advantage because he was born with those chakra levels. the vast majority of ninjas don't have that advantage.
However, even in part 2, Sasuke did do some training though less training than I would have liked. Sasuke didn't magically pull out Sussano in his fight with Killler Bee, he had to work on the black flames first. Then he worked on improving his mastery of the black flames. After that, he was able to get Sussano and then he worked on getting more powerful versions of the Sussano. So, he didn't train to get MS and EMS but he did work to master the powers of MS and EMS.

It's the spamming of said jutsu I have a problem with. It's all he ever does now. He has more at his disposal than just the use of those tech. I get they are powerful, but as you saw with the fight with Bee, they don't always win the battle. In fact lately they have not worked on anyone at all, even when they hit.

Sasuke's character is ultimately becoming a very poor cliche. Kishi got him stuck inbetween two options of advancement: More misdirected hate, or more revenge. That's all he's been allowed to do since Part two started. This war has done him no justice in the slightest either.

The "Support gimmick" is not a bash on Sasuke, but rather on Kishi's choice of development of Sasuke. Out of all the praise and hilights I have given Sasuke in this thread you are hangin on the 2 small jabs I gave at him and decree the entire thread is a negative one. try not to be so biased about this. I realize you are a Sasuke fanboy. That is your right. But that doesn't mean your favorite character doesn't have flaws. And again most of the "negative" comments as you put it, are not fault of Sasuke but of how Kishi has developed him.

The part about him being a cocky bastard....he is a cocky bastard. It's part of who he is. I mean it as an endearing term, not a negative one. I don't have a problem with it. I am fine with it. His misdirected hatred leads him to revenge or vice-versa.
They are one and the same thing.

Kishi had two options with sasuke at a point,1. make him evil and destroy konoha and support war.
2. make him good and help the allianc

Kishi went with #2 and this is what everyone wanted as well , because sasuke gained most of his "fans" in part 1 and early part 2 only.

Sasuke is pretty darn hast himself. I don't see him fighting Obito as only Senjutsu works on him and sasuke really doesn't have any Senjutsu. Maybe Kirin but I realize that takes time to prep...time he wouldn't get to fight Obito with unless he backed by the alliance. I am thinking in his fight would be with Madara as really, his whole reason for being who he is today stems from Madara's actions through the use of Obito.

And again, I am not against the use of these EMS techs. I would like to see him use them more efficently and not just spamming them over and over again. But this really is not Sasuke's fault, but in the way Kishi's is directing the fights for everybody including Naurto. Sad really.

The fight with danzou still showed battle tactics he won with no help right. Also danzou was using izanagi you honestly think curse mark would be enough too beat him. Sasuke still figured out his jutsu and beat him. Ur not saying shit about danzou handout power from Sasuke entire family .

The only failure in Cross's last post was the When did Sasuke fight Obito remark. He is doing so now. But all his other points are valid ones. It isn't opinion it is manga fact. There are panels to prove it. Call it plot no jutsu or whatever it still happened. Sasuke would never have killed Itachi if Itachi had been fighting to kill. The whole point of that fight was get Sasuke to kill him and awaken is MS so he could protect himself from Tobi, which Itachi knew he would be coming for him, which is why he laid that Amateratsu trap when Tobi and Sasuke's eyes met.

Sasuke got owned in the Kage fight. Why was he tired? From fighting the Raikage and Kazekage. He took on all 5 Kage with an intent to kill. He may have been after Danzo but the other kage were in his way. He even took the Raikage's hand. He meant to kill him but Gaara stopped him. He would have killed Mei but Mei got the best of him with her Kekkei Genkai until Zetsu intervened. And Oonoki would have ended him if Obito didn't kamui him out of there. Sasuke put up a good fight but he was not Madara and couldn't fight all 5 Kage at once.

Implanting someone elses eyes is a handout. They are not his eyes they were his brothers. Yes Sasuke "EARNED" the MS, but this too, in a way, was a handout because it was Itachi's desire that he developed this to in order to acquire the strength to protect himself.

And Naruto is an Uzumaki if you forgot. He still created a ton of Shadow clones becuase of his clan's large chakra reserves not because of Karama. He created tons of clones during the Gaara fight and used Karama's chakra AFTER summoning Gamabunta. He can create tons of clones regardless of Karama's chakra. But you are making the same old argument that the Kyuubi is Naruto's main source of power as he is the hero. i am focused on Sasuke here not Naruto. I will get to Naruto in a later thread. Be patient. Naruto isn't off the hook here. He too has been getting rediculous handouts as of late...But as i said, that's a topic for another thread.
