I totally Agree, Part 1 Naruto was a masterpiece, I totally understand how you feel.

Shippuden isn't really necessary a bad thing but it was a major letdown to many us fans.

I've made a thread couple days ago that Lee & Gaara is preferable main character over Naruto, cause right now, Naruto has gotten way too bland, it feel like it ruined his characterization.

Neji was killed off in one ****in chapter only for Plot Device for Naruto Development. Its a Total BS.

After all, the main reason why Naruto became my favorite series in the first place is all because of the rookies and the sand sibling.

so naruto cant die many times in this war?
You do realise he is the main character right? Even if he dies; he would somehow get back and would be in the storyline till the end.

no difference, except powerscale.

Sure, we'll just have Naruto still idiotically spamming shadow clones at the Akatsuki shall we? Hm, yeah- i'm sure that'll go great for him. The only characters who have really radically changed in power are the 2 main leads...and that's BECAUSE they're the 2 main leads. What do you expect.

You said talking toads and water bubbles were 'REAL NINJA FIGHTS', you were talking about realism and said nothing about power scales. You have literally no point to make and thus this thread is garbage.

It's all the same story. They could seperate the chunnin exams and the sannin fight/sasuke retrieval arc and people would then moan Naruto is 'becoming too OP' because he learnt Rasengan and Fox 1 tail mode. It's one story that one guy is trying to tell but idiots like you keep trying to sh*t on everything. Naruto Shippuden is a flawed manga. But no more than the original, because they are literally the same thing.

K11 are involved. Take the 1st part of the war for example. That had a lot of involved characters. Part 2 didn't ruin the destiny thing. Naruto will be given a choice that'll either destroy the world or save it, so it's not set in stone. I swear people don't give part 2 credit.

i love part 1 i believe a lot of kishis most genius fights are in part 1 and when i re-read it i find myself being more impressed especially when naruto punks zabuza, i also spent a lot of my time re-watching part 1 before getting into shippuden as i only watched them when the dvds came out so the nostalgia factor is their for me and i only moved onto shippuden as i didnt want to watch all the filler episodes

but would i say part 1 is better than part 2 yes and no as part 1 like part 2 has many great moments that i love about this series

I somewhat agree with the fact that others characters development made the overall story a little better in part 1, all the k11 had a certain mystique about them and honestly every episode was like a piece to a mystery since we had no idea what their powers were, and honestly they all seemed so interesting, I remember on part 1 kiba was actually kind of cool, and rock lee was just the shit, part 1's greatest strength is the fact that they all got some of the action, and a good majority of the characters had excellent backstories.

Fast forward to now and all these former co-stars are just stand ins, but shippuden definitely can hold its own with part 1, gaara vs deidara and a few other fights cemented it into greatness, but I see where you're coming from, shippuden would definitely be better if kishi could have continued with ppls back stories and had character development better spaced out, he was so wrong for the whole of the k11 developing and displaying new moves suddenly in 1 chapter.

The action in shippuden is great, but it can't hold a candle to part 1 in terms of how interesting all the characters were.

fight with water prison, chidori clones, bijuu and big summon= real ninja fight?

Well it's better than giant indestructible skeletons covered in inextinguishable black flames and TBB's flying everywhere.

Agreed, Neji should have just died in part 1 against Kidomaru, at the time I was so sad that he died. When he died from the Juubi I was just like "Oh, that guy. Why is he in this story again?" At least give him a good fight or something before you kill him off for no reason.

To everyone who said Shippuden is better: I see what you mean and I respect your opinion, I love it too. I agree that Shippudens fight's are better and it introduced so many awesome characters like the Akatsuki. But to me the story just doesn't seem as well put together and there are way too many useless characters.

This is exactly what I mean, thank you for wording it correctly.

I loved part 1, and for me that is, the power scaling has really gotten out of hand after meeting bee. plus i hate that in the plot sasuke is such an emo. he used to be cool and composed, now its just watching a man on his period. Naruto keeps showing such developement, but then regressing to stupidity in ideal situations and not becoming a serious ninja like minato, but whatever. only time will tell if kishi can wrap this up into an epic manga.

Exactly!! What's the point for Kishi to bring his old characters in Shippuden when he kept on making new characters, but never even utilize them???

Sasuke retrieval was a godly arc. But the series was good until the Pain arc. After Nagato died the series followed tbh. I mean it's alright but it went from being my #1 to like #9. Can't wait for this series to end. Btw there were no "real" ninja fights EVER in this series. None of these people are stealthy lol.

I loved character development of the Rookies in Part I, and fights looked interesting in terms of actual ninja tactics.. But Part II is a lot more epic. Besides, all of my favourite characters are from Part II.

I do have the feeling that Land of Waves arc was sort of separate from the rest of the story, and could serve as a set-up for a wholly different plot, but that's just me, I guess.
