LAND OH!!!
Steer into that coral reef, there's an hidden opening through the sand bank
we finally arrived. The Archipelago is an isolated micro-climate amidst the unclaimed and undiscovered waters north of the water country, in a mist valley, where a great reef is situated. It has excellent weather and currents conditions, though it's waters are packed with venomous box jellyfishes. You, as a Box summoner, are able to resist to the pain of the venom and it's effects to a certain degree, but you are not immune to it, nor will you ever be without proper permission (usually med-ninja or maybe a kg).
As stated, you are able to summon boxes from here, or be reverse summoned by a box to here. Now, let's train in actual summoning techniques.
Go to my jutsu thread and copy my lightning polyp, Mamaragan. Describe it to me.
Nope, that's all clear. As long as there's lightning, electrodes, physical energy in the shape of electricity, it will be sucked. It won't suck the lightning part from an advanced element, since there's no physical manifestation of lightning.
See it as a disruptive vacuum. If you create a lightning disk beneath your feet, it will be sucked in. Since you're not necessarily between the disk and the polyp, the lightning can just sweep from beneath your feet and be absorbed. This means it's advisable that you do not go between your opponent and the polyp, as then your enemy can use the ploy to aim raw burst of lightning against you. Which also means you can use that to catch your opponent in a trap.
Any more questions?
The latter please.Do you want to develop a certain personality/background to each box, or do you just want to know the practical and theoretical uses of them?
( Koukurage Kuchyose no Jutsu: Kyoudan ) Box Jellyfish Summoning Technique: MarinetteOkay then, analyze Marinette now
Yep to all that xD( Koukurage Kuchyose no Jutsu: Kyoudan ) Box Jellyfish Summoning Technique: Marinette
Rank: A
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Marinette is large yet slender box jellyfish with Earth Affinity. Because of that, although strong and steady, she appears to be drier and more frail than other boxes, almost as if made of sand cloth, allowing her to remain out of water. She is able to freely alter her weight from milligrams to tons, with earth chakra, and move underground as if it was water. Combining both, she can propel herself out of the ground and soar in the air for quite long time, almost as if floating. She is a master of Ta Moko. Increasing the height and hardness of her thin tentacles, she can increase their size with such speed and strength that they act like bullets, at a speed that isn't easily discernible for untrained eyes (non Strong Fist Masters) or people with at least 1 Tomoe Sharingan or Byakugan.
*Except when using Ta Moko, Marinette's ability to shift her weight costs 1 jutsu*
*Can stay in battle for 4 turns max*
*Can only be used twice if not injured*
Seems like she is basically all the weight manipulation techniques all in one, combined with the ability of underground travel and tentacle stabbing. Can she shoot her tentacles even when underground? If so, that would be a pretty deadly combination if the opponent didn't have some sort of chakra sensory. Could also use her to propel from the ground, increase the weight, and drop onto the opponent.
( Koukurage Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Utsu ) Box Jellyfish Summoning Jutsu: ShangoHum, let's do Shango
Anything that could hit Gaara before the sand shield protects him would also escape the tentacles. And yes, short range around each shango( Koukurage Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Utsu ) Box Jellyfish Summoning Jutsu: Shango
Rank: A
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: Shango are a specialized type of Box Jellyfishes that are able to hibernate underground, until a foreign chakra steps within their close vicinity. Once it happens, they quickly lash out at their prey, shooting their thread-like tentacles and wrapping around the opponent, carving the skin and injecting their poison. This happens in a blink of an eye, almost as fast as Gaara's sand defense. They're trap-summons, and, upon preforming 6 handseals, they're summoned into the ground anywhere within range. Although able to stay indefinitely on the field, they are short lived after being triggered (1 turn). Each of them is roughly the size of a fist.
*Can only summon up to 4 per usage*
*Can only use 1 time per battle*
*Can't be summoned already in the direct vicinity of any opponent (right beneath their feet).
*Only one of the Shango can use Box Arts
*Triggering a Shango does not count towards the user's jutsu count*
*Foreign chakra is anything outside the Box Contract, as such, it will not react to fellow summons or summoners (even if used by different members), but will react to allies*
*Triggering reacts by pressure and chakra, trying to detect living animal organisms, thus, unless the jutsu mimics animal life (Shadow Clones, Organic Elemental Clones, Summon Animals) it won't get triggered. Again, Shadow Clones, Summoning Animals, Organic Elemental Clones (Wood Clones, Mushroom Clones, etc) will trigger the trap.*
*User can't preform any other summon in the same and next turn*
Basically mini land mines, which have a ton of uses with the RP context. Im assuming within range means short range in all directions around each individual shango? To what extent can they catch fast moving people?
Hm, so anything above Rock Lee's speed can "outrun" them. Good to know. But they can be initially summoned up to mid-range away, correct?Anything that could hit Gaara before the sand shield protects him would also escape the tentacles. And yes, short range around each shango
Yes, anywhere within Mid-range from you can have a Shango placed.Hm, so anything above Rock Lee's speed can "outrun" them. Good to know. But they can be initially summoned up to mid-range away, correct?
Wonderful. All clear.Yes, anywhere within Mid-range from you can have a Shango placed.
