Could Hashi's death be the biggest plot hole in the series? Did kishi create a too powerful Hero and he had to get rid of him for story development?

He apparently died in war, I also heard he gave his Hokage's title before going to battle ---> He knew he wasn't coming back

But seriously, Hashi could probably solo the whole verse back in those days, he didn't die of cancer or anything either otherwise Kishi would have said it.

I doubt about it, if it was the case why wouldn't Kishi just say it?
Him passing his title before dying is the real mystery.
I think we might can an answer in the upcoming chapters (if it has to do anything with Madara/ or even Madara asking him why did you commit suicide if it was the case).
