Why is Hidan so hated?

Hidan is not that hard in a 1 on 1, he was only in the akatsuki because kakuzu kept killing his partners, not because of his skill, ppl like Omoi stand a fair chance at beating him as he admitted out of his mouth that he has the slowest attacks in the akatsuki.

He was beating Shraingan Kakashi at taijutsu.

yea but kakashi also had to worry about kakuzu's mask backing him up, kakashi would easily defeat Hidan with ninjutsu in a 1 on 1, but he couldn't because he had to deal with the more dangerous opponent, kakuzu. Shikamaru fodderized Hidan the second he lost his scythe. Anyone with ninjutsu stands a fair chance at beating Hidan in a 1 on 1.

Hidan fighting anyone by himself is going to have a bad time. He has to be in that circle to link himself to the opponent. Against any formidable one I don't see that happening. He's immortal yet he is in pieces choking on dirt from explosive tags. Hes obv not indestructable. He laughs at pain alright.

He needs kakuzu or some backup to be good. Genjutsu is a non factor not because he has a 4 means somethign because no feats from him.

edit: noone hates him, we just don't wank him when we know he clearly loses.

Hidan is not hated, he's just underdeveloped for an Akatsuki member. I believe I read an interview with Kishi saying that he planned to give some special abilities to Hidan's scythe, but there was no panel time for that. Had he done that, Hidan might've been much stronger and not considered a clown.

I dunno if you'd call Immortal and 1 shot kills underdeveloped, but I guess he didn't get screen time to show everything he could do.

Raikiri to the body would severely hinder Hidan as the structural damage to his body would not allow him to use his scythe so freely, and he could use it to destroy his scythe effectively castrating 95% of hidan's offense, and this right here would end the match.

1 jutsu and 1 passive ability falls into underdevelopment for me. It's not that he's weak but come on. Even Lee, who has 0 ninjutsu showed more variety than Hidan. Kishi himself said Hidan wasn't developed properly so I don't see any point in arguing.

but kakashi is smarter than Hidan and he is a hothead, if kakashi didn't use up most of his chakra against kakuzu he could easily beat hidan in a 1 on 1.

He pretty much tanks every Ninjutsu that he CBA dodging.

Kakashi beats hidan in possibly every other category, I hope you're not seriously thinking hidan can take kakashi in a 1 on 1, Hidan is only effective as back up, in a 1 on 1 he fails horribly.

As I said, he's shown enough agility to dodge any attacks Kakashi could end him with.

Shikamaru fodderized hidan the second kakuzu got separated from him, kakashi would easily do the same, only in less time.

Using Kamui takes time, something that'd get him killed quickly in this fight.

Plus, I didn't see Hidan laughing when his body was blown up. So, I guess it's a draw.

Oro get's solo'd by shower. That shower would have felt amazing for Hidan lol


OT: Hidan is one of my favorite characters for many reasons.

1. He kills people, something that almost every Naruto character lacks, especially Obito.
2. His annoying personality is pretty funny. Like how he kept provoking Choji and called him a fat ****
3. His scythe is badass

People underrate him like crazy because he fell into Shikamarus ridiculous trap. (so many things could have gone wrong).

What annoys me the most is when people say "he got solo'd by Shikamaru". He was alone with him for like 5 seconds and that was while he was already in Shikas trap. If they fought on even ground without any pre setting up Shikamaru would be dead in less than a minute. But of course there was a Nara forest that just happened to be walking distance from where they fought.

Also Kishi said in an interview that he had a few more tricks for Hidan but didn't have time to use them.

Not even the 4 edo jins in v2 could dodge raiden, Hidan dies if kakashi uses it
