I agree. Kishi portrays Sasuke as a character who requires hatred to become powerful. I hope Sasuke becomes neutral, but based on the last chapter. I don't know what to think at this point.

They're not only filled with hatred they also have Mokuton, Knowledge on all Uchiha Jutsus, the history, have battled many wars, suffered heavy losses, setbacks, are very experienced and patient, manipulative, cunning.
Sasuke is none of the above. He's a naive kid, a chicken in his own words, a self proclaimed avenger who is easily maniplated. Basically he's a no talent Uchiha if compared to the likes of Madara, Obito, Itachi or even Shisui.
Sasuke needs a time-skip and need to go into exile, do some heavy training just like Madara did before VOTE in order to have a decent battle with Naruto. As of now Naruto stomps neg-low diff U_U

1. If Sasuke is going to be evil, then Kishimoto having him go through redemption (giving up revenge, resolving to defend the villages, caring about his comrades enough to save them, and putting away with his pride enough to ask Naruto for advice) was entirely pointless,
2. Naruto just got an incredible power-up. He didn't get this be being angry. Sasuke is seeing that the curse of hatred did not grant him as much power as the will of fire did to Naruto. Why would Sasuke go back to being so full of hatred?
