I knew it, Bartolomeo was not on bad terms with Luffy ^^ didn't expect him go all fanboyish though xd He's crawling up on my favourite characters list.

And Luffy's army is expanding

Dude, I didnt even notice. He not only have the weird head guy, but Now my 2nd Fav Character (Ever since I seen him use his bari fruit) Bart. I honestly think that suits his personality if you ask me. Lol. I wish he would join the strawhats... but Thats very rare to happen. Idc what nobody says.. I think he should adopt the samurai he picked up from Ceasers Lab

I read the spoilers. All were true.

The convict gladiators were interesting. I liked their introduction ; the soldier is one. He too is missing a limb ; however he probably escaped and as punishment : was turned into a toy.

Chinjao still isn't used to his head yet xD But I can now see Luffy learning Hasshoken from the Chinjao family.

Cavendish and Rebecca are now clearly seen as fodder to Luffy. Bartolomeo reminds me of die hard Justin Bieber fans now and Aokiji? What's his association with Teach? They were talking about Shiliew too... Were they talking about Cavendish and comparing him to Shiliew?

BB's new beard looks a lot more like Teach did in real life.

They were comparing Aokiji with Shiryu. Shiryu just went from being an ID guardian, an enemy, to being their ally on a whim for whichever reason. Aokiji probably did something similar. Why would they have any interest in Cavendish?

dafaq, Bart turned into the male Hancock.. c'mon Oda. I knew Rebecca was weaksauce. Glad that Oda confirmed that. It was an okay chapter. Hopefully Toriko will bring it this week

i didn't like this chapter its like luffy is ok with blackbeard......i'm slowly losing intrest in one piece.
Oda needs to step his game up.

Stop reading One Piece for 10-ish weeks, and then come back. OP is more enjoyable if you read it in larger chunks

The only thing I could think was why in the world is Nami trying to kill Luffy. Bad move
In a single stroke of a brush, it made me entirely against having Rebecca join the group, and made me less compassionate about her story. I need to have more diversity in female character's looks...

Then again, her story was already in the top charts of my compassion, and the panel where all the injured gladiators are shown is just heart wrenching for me. This is such a great arc

As for Bartolomeo, awesome, so awesome.

Barto is such a fanboy, but on a serious note I hope he does back to his bad*SS style and just have an err of respect to maybe call him okashira or somethin not this girly Haha he's shown doing 2day.
Rebecca just got some depth to her character but I guess what she wishes for can't b attained by her power but it alignes with what Luffy wants to do so he will help her and the gladiators by taking Doffy down- her chance 4 new nakama is widening.
Luffy's new army- mini Yonko 4 sure.
Grt chapter but I hope nxt week gives us Law, Fujitora & Doffy.

I like it though. Although I have to get use that Bart compared to the previous one.

Luffy now has two allies. Bartolomeo and Chinjao (and his army and two sons).
I have a feeling this is going to get more epic. I mean look at all the pieces at motion in this arc. The marines (along with admiral and vice admirals), all the powerful warriors from the new world, gladiators, elfs, Doflas crew, Strawhats crew, Burgess. Theres just too much going. It feels like the Arc will explode! =D

I agree with this. I was disappointed in the controlled reaction that Luffy displayed towards Burgess and Blackbeard, not only did it feel contrived, but it also felt un-luffy-ish. It simply feels like Luffy's reaction was solely created for the purpose of tension, and suspense to build up towards the Burgess fight, when in actuality a scenario like that should've resulted in a fight. Feels like Oda's dragging it simply for the sake of a climax...disappointed.

You're acting as if there's been some kind of huge personality jump over the time skip, have you forgotten the fishman Island arc? Seriously?
Having some kind of casual conversation with Blackbeard over a Den Den Mushi that Burgess is holding, and then only saying ' hurr, I'll get the Mera Mera' is, as far as I'm concerned, contradictory of character. With the only allusion to Luffy being angry being some dumb cross-hair mark in one of his leaving speech bubbles.
Secondly, you must be some kind of Burgess fanboy since he's yet to display any amazing feats that display the prowess to one shot Luffy.
Lastly, pretty much everybody whose anybody in the Colosseum knows it's him.
