I suppose we should proceed like the previous one didn't happen. Okay... From the top.

Shayde sat in the middle of the training grounds, waiting for his Sensei to help him awaken his Sharingan. He knew much about the Sharingan, but has never been able to manifest it himself. Hopefully his sensei could help him.

"Hmmm... I know training once you have the Sharingan is simple enough... But activating it? This should be... Interesting... Or Harrowing. Let's wait and see."

I apologize for what happened, I kinda screwed up lol. Sorry for making you go through this again.

Jiraiya's face becomes an impenetrable barricade which reflects no emotions as he lunges at his student. As he reaches him he starts with a barrage of punches, resembling a boxer. He starts with a strong left handed punch to the right abdominal side of his student, sending his fist in with great strength. He then follows up with a right handed punch to the students face knocking his head to the side but not strong enough to break his bones or teeth. Jiraiya then continues with a roundhouse kick sending his student flying.

Meh... It's okay. I got a bit carried away in the last thread too, so it's not fair for you to apologize. Besides, as soon as it gets awakened, it gets easier... Doesn't it? 0___0

I'm not feeling too well right now, so this may be my worst reply to a training session ever...

As you begin your assault I can't help but feel nostalgic, I don't understand why I just do... But it doesn't matter as these thoughts were beaten from my head with your punches. I can't understand why you would approach me with such a blank face, showing no emotion all. This made me curious.

Why face me with no emotion at all... This was a training session after all. I knew he must have a reason but for the life of me I couldn't figure it out... Instead I focused on my Sensei's actions and why this was "necessary".

He was using Taijutsu, so he doesn't mean to overwhelm me. And he was holding back so he wasn't trying to kill me. He must be trying to test me... Or gauge my response... Or just beat the life out of me. Nevertheless I still wonder what he could possibly be trying to teach me. I grit my teeth and stand up.

"That wasn't a very nice greeting... So are you just going to beat me up? Or are you expecting me to retaliate? Come on Sensei, you can't expect me to just go with "It's necessary" and leave it at that..."

Slightly frustrated, I stand a small distance from you waiting on your response.

Jiraiya keeps his face calm but emotions stir inside his head. He closes them off for another barrage of attacks at his student. He rushes at him once more punching his right side ribcage with his left hand while sending his right hand into his stomach which causes him to double over. Jiraiya then lunges his knee upwards sending it into his students chin.

I watch as my sensei readies himself for another attack. Knowing he is far stronger and faster than myself all I can do is prepare myself for what may be the most traumatic moment of my life so far. His left fist connects with the right side of my ribcage, and I'm not certain but I think I heard a crack that time... Then sending his right fist into my stomach, all I can do is collapse to my knees in great pain and gasp for air. But that wasn't the end of it. Just as I think he may have stopped this almost feral assault I am kneed in the chin and get sent flying back again.

Why... Why can't I do anything...

As I tumble through the air all I can think is how pathetic I must look. Even after all my training. The hours I've spent preparing myself for such occasions, but when it came to action all I could do is get beaten to a bloody pulp. I land, rather harshly and stay down for a moment, wondering why this beating is "necessary". Why would a Sensei go to such lengths? What is he expecting of me? Why is he showing no emotion at all...? Then it hit me like my Sensei was beating it into me with his own fist.

One of the notes I had read explaining the Sharingan mentions not only traumatic experiences, but hatred. It was a curse associated with the Uchiha since their founding, "The Curse of Hatred". Hatred or loss of love lead to an Uchiha's mind creating special chakra that creates the Sharingan. "The Eye's That Reflect Feelings"...

"So that's the game we're playing, Sensei...?"

I start to stand up, my body aching with every slight movement. I stare directly at you. With every second that goes by my hatred for you and everything you've done to me so far intensifies. I muster a evil grin, and continue to let a deep seated hatred fester inside.

"I'm not a violent person by nature, but the fact you've pushed me this far just pisses me off and boils my blood..."

Despite my big words, the only thing that is running through my head is somewhat confusing...

Why must hate be the trigger...? Why must I hate someone kind enough to show me the way...?

Disregarding the thoughts that start to tear me apart from within I continue to hate what you have done so far, and hate you for what is sure to come. Barely able to keep my balance all I can do is ask a simple question.

"Shall we continue with my "lesson"...?"

Jiraiya gazes into the eyes of the young Uchiha trying to find a trace of those cursed red eyes, but he still doesn't find them there. Inside, he is tearing himself apart because of the torture his student has to go through to gain an ability. Jiraiya screams in despair as he plunges his fist into the students face, sending him flying through the air and crashing into the ground with an uppercut. Jiraiya then attempts to catch a glimpse of the red Sharingan eye.

Shayde watched as his sensei closed in for another attack, but this time the wall that kept his emotions at bay had come crashing down. Shayde could tell his Sensei was serious... It was now or never, Shayde had to awaken his eyes or risk certain death.

This is it...

Death wasn't an option, Shayde had far too much to accomplish. His Sensei's fist collided once more with his face and as he tumbled through the air he couldn't tell if he was dreaming, the color had left the scenery, the only discerning feature was a blue glow that he didn't recognize. Once more, Shayde fell to the ground. He picked himself up and looked around, nothing looked discernible, until once again he saw that faint blue glow. He tried to make it out, but his eyes were too tired to do so.

Shayde couldn't tell what was going on. He asked in a faint voice,

"Sensei? What is this?"

His eyes started to pick up more than a faint blue glow, it grew and became more distinguished, more complex and made an outline. A figure stood before him. Obviously very strong by the feel and concentration of chakra.

"S... Sensei?"

Shayde blacks out and is dropped off at the hospital...
