Whoopsie, I rate the amount of idiocy that your post exhibits, lol. 'Cause I favor Naruto more than I do OP, but the fact remains, Naruto is a blonde-haired version of Kakarot who has a cat in his belly.
Actually you'd be quite wrong in that assertion. Only part 1 Naruto is anything like Goku. Part 2 Naruto is vastly different given the revelations he learned from his parents, Jiraiya dying, developments between him and other characters etc. He couldn't be farther from the Kakarot pedestal you are putting him on right now. Luffy on the other hand remains to be a carbon copy of Kakarot.

No it hasn't. OP's sales generate mostly from Japan; however DBZ is the true epitome of an anime that is a worldwide phenomenon, which in fact is most popular.
I know that... But even given that, Naruto is closer to DBZ on a worldwide scale than OP will ever be.

yep, spoken like a true op fan. luffy is a million times the goku rip off naruto can ever dream to be. naruto axtually has a personality. luffy is only "eat eat eat", only it was cute and adorable for goku when he did it. in fact just from the first chapters of dragon ball i saw how big of a rip off luffy is of goku
..Naruto was based off of Goku...Sooo...

you're right, OP is ok, but waaaaaaay to overrated, it is definitely funny, but a bit to childish, hasn't a great story line nor a good psychological development

Nonetheless, the bottom line is that the foundation of Naruto's character was built off of Kakarot's. So as the story progressed, Naruto was changed; but it doesn't change that Naruto was based on Kakarot.

bad argument. everything is essentially based of one thing or another. however luffy remains a carbon copy of kid goku. being based of something and being a replica are two completely different things
It's nice to know that people can just recycle terms. But anyway, I feel that Luffy after the time skip, much like Naruto, grew and developed their personality further. I don't feel Luffy is as much like Goku as he was, and the same goes for Naruto.

Nothing wrongs with One Piece, going by sales it is obviously a good series. But with that said not everyone will like every type of anime or manga. I myself can't get into OP, nor do I really have an interest in doing so. I've tried, I gave it a solid go but just couldn't. I really couldn't take anyone series because the majority of the cast look like transvestite hookers :eww:

i haven't finished op, but i do remember luffy lacking any emotional appeal that made naruto gripping. he was brave, badass, likes to eat, but essentially that was it. naruto from what i remember even in part one was more fleshed out and dimensional. however maybe one day i'll give op another chance and evaluate luffy's character and his progression

I've never gotten into One Piece myself. One thing I don't like is the villains. None of them give me any sort of fear factor unlike Pain and Orochimaru, and Aizen and Juhabach from Bleach. They constantly monologue and just seem like any cliche villain and the art is just off putting.

There were a few emotional moments in One Piece, but often get down played..Ace's death is quite the emotional trauma for most fans of One Piece. But, eh. Not everyone will like everything, so I respect your opinion if you just don't like the series.

To each his own. Everyone has their personal preference about what they are looking for in a story or what entertains them.

Otherwise this topic has been made various times. Just search old similar threads and you will find the reason why it's liked by many.
