Should Naruto be Konoha's new military strategist?

Seeing as how he was the only one who figured out how to survive the Juubi Mode Obito's TBBs, and he was also the only one to figure out Pain completely. With Shikaku dead, Naruto should be next in line.

Leader in general really. Shikamaru I can see being an actual general and leading massive forces, but for moral and tactical prowess, it's got to be Naruto.

NO... Shikamaru without a DOUBT.

1. Shikamaru doesn't know the basics of FTG (Minato only told Naruto and Sasuke).

2. As noted by Sakura, the Kyubi chakra link was basically omnipresent meaning Shikamaru didn't know that it was also there.


As such, Shikamaru was left to devise a strategy with the following:

People who could create weak earth walls, a somewhat injured Killer Bee. A it mattered little since they were enclosed in a barrier.



So really Naruto happened to be a person with insider knowledge. In addition, Kurama spoke with Naruto earlier, and likely between the two of them or upon Kurama mentioning the link at least, he could make the plan.... though even then he didn't know if it would work.

I can see Sakura as a leader of a global medical corp, and standing on par with Naruto (not in power) but status as the best medical ninja of history.

please stop with this. naruto was in a situation where he had inside information. how else would he have saved the alliance if he didn't know they all still had his chakra? please tell me more about how naruto comes up with great plans when he isn't' the only one with intel on the situation. Do you think shikamaru wouldn't have figured this out if he was in the same situation with the same intel? You would seem smart too if you were the only one allowed to learn the info before a test.
