I'm talking about Don Chinjao as a character. The first time I saw Chinjao, I was like feeling this old man is rational, wiser and badass. I put all my hopes up to this old geezer to demonstrate a battle as much HardCore as Lucci.

On previous chapter(s) I was surprised to see Chinjao cried during the battle. It was an image he shown of a cartoonish kid crying fountain of tears. Hoping this won't go any worse. But no, chapter 719 kinda ended the battle and Luffy won Block C in one shot.

It's understandable that Block C took few chapters to see it in full details, but was it important to know what's going on on other sides of StrawHats? I'll leave this question to you.

In the end, I'm afraid to say, sorry guys, Luffy vs Lucci still remained as #1 best fight ever of all times of Luffy's battles.

Lucci was the battle at the end of that arc, so its not fair to compare this one to that. There's still a lot left here and we don't even know who the final battle will be between.

I liked Chinjao and his ties to Garp. He may also become an ally down the road. He hated Garp because Garp took away his power by damaging his head, but it seems Luffy just corrected that damage with his punch. Chinjao might be grateful to Luffy for giving his head its old shape, and perhaps old strength.

See Luffy vs Lucci was amazing because of the fact that Luffy was close to dying and got a hard beating but obviously Luffy pulled through. I'm just scared of how the anime will handle the whole Chinjao situation, they seem to over exaggerate many scenes I mean look how much they dragged the Monet vs Luffy fight. They actually made it look like Monet was a huge threat to Luffy. Now in this case, it may be good because they can show the anime viewers how scary Chinjao is but I'm still skeptical about the crying scene like you mentioned.

Overall, like many people predicted I agree that Chinjao will be an "ally" with Luffy sometime later down the road. That's what I'm potentially scared of, I still want that sense of danger from Chinjao and reinforce how devastating the previous generation of pirates were. That's just my thoughts on Chinjao as a character.I can't just give a 100% answer till the arc is over.

Wait for Luffy to fight Doflamingo or a Yonko, then you will have your next epic clash, imo.

I wasn't disappointed in Chinjao. He was a beast, but he underestimated the hell out of Garp and paid the price for it. He still is a beast. He managed to fight Luffy for a good amount of time, although he didn't deal that much damage to him.

Chinjao is more of a WTF character. Screw Logic. Patrick star just got a powerup. He reminds me of Gandalf when he is calm and he lives up to his hype even when he was weakened. His flashback simply functioned to show Garps power. He's quite important and I think he knows stuff about Kaidou.

I really enjoyed probably the last 3 chapters.
Better than some of the other stuff we had been getting weeks before imo.

I think the way he was matched against Luffy was perfect. It shows how far Luffy has come. A 500m bounty not that much higher than his pre-skip bounty of 400m, yet Luffy defeated him mid difficulty. I didn't expect Luffy to fight a difficult fight against a man with a 500m bounty, seen as Ace earned a 550m bounty in just 3 years, while it took Chinjao all his life to earn a 500m bounty.

I was pleased with his character and how he provoked Luffy. I can see him becoming a valuable ally in the future.

I mean I really am not disappointed, chinjao didn't get knocked out unconscious, if it weren't for te rules and they actually battled to the death, it would have went on a little longer, luffy still would have won though

As for fights, luffy vs lucci was 2nd for me I've always loved ace vs blackbeard

Luffy vs Don Chinjao was absolutely perfect. It perfectly resumes everything about One Piece. As for the best fight Luffy's been, I'll have to say Movie Z, Luffy vs Z. In the end, it was about who had the greatest will, a true fist fight with their spirit on their hands.
