This is my list:
Favourites:
1) Kakashi- I've always enjoyed that sarcastic attitude of his and how he's coped with such a tragic backstory made him inspirational in my book.
2) Shikamaru- Probably one of the most mature characters in the series and I think he's a better leader figure than Sasuke and Naruto.
3) Gai/Lee- Their spouts of youth always make me laugh and their characters are vibrant unlike the majority of dull characters in the series.
4) Neji- I've always found his character interesting and he had so much potential but unfortunately he died for such a pitiful cause to support a pairing!
5) Minato- I thought his personality was bland at first but he's really starting to grow on me now for some reason.
Characters that aren't my favourites but are close:
1) Madara- you can't hate that hair =D
2) Tenten- Always wanted to see more of her character and is the only Konoha 11 Kunoichi that isn't a squealing fangirl.
3) Killer Bee- He's such a goofball but he knows when to be serious when protecting the people close to him.
4) Tobirama/Kisame- Strictly business and they gets the job done. The true ninjas in the series IMO.
5) Obito/Nagato- Couldn't choose since I like them both for their backstories and their roles as Pein and Tobi.
Characters that I hate:
1) Hinata- never, never liked her. She's so one dimensional and everything she has done in the series has revolved around Naruto. I can't count at the amount of times she has said 'Naruto-kun' throughout the series and her reaction to Neji's death was just god awful.
2) Ino- I used to hate both her and Sakura before it but at least Sakura is maturing and has many layers to her character. Ino just hasn't matured to me whatsoever and she STILL likes Sasuke. Remind me again why people even like that guy anyway?
3) Sasuke- I feel sympathy for his character because of the Uchiha Massacre but he's plain annoying. He keeps changing sides and can't make his mind up and it bothers me that so many other people are going to die in this war to protect him. He should be fully punished when he gets back to Konoha IMO and the fangirls he have always annoyed me.
4) Naruto- Used to be inspirational but now anything he does does not surprise me anymore. And his beliefs are so idealistic it makes me wonder how someone hasn't laughed in his face yet. His speeches are also quite annoying as well.
5) Danzo- He's one of the true ninja in the series, but he's just never grown on me, don't know why.
