maybe to take care of sasuke, while he is in Madara side. Itachi never trusted Madara, for the reason he gave amaterasu to Sasuke + a lot other skill.

Because Itachi is a good big brother he knew that sasuke would blame the village and attack it if he knew the truth about the clan massacre so he wanted to prevent him from harming konoha. Its the same reason why he placed amaratsu to be unleashed at the sight of madara sharingan. Itachis goal was to protect the village he even sacrificed his clan for that...

To be able to take care of Sasuke, he need's to be able to counter the Sharingan, we think thats what Itachi gave to Naruto and you complained that that would give Naruto and advantage over Sasuke (or something to that effect)

exactly u said it yourself he never trusted madra thats why he placed it on saskue but he gave his gift to naruto for the same reason he didnt want saskue to be manipulated by madara and he gave him that because he knows that naruto is the only one that can turn him back from his evil ways (madaras goal was always to destroy konoha).

Sasuke losing the the curse seal will most likely be seen as a step forward as well as gaining the MS. Not only in power but also a development for the Sasuke. He'll still probably get another power boost some time to keep up with Naruto.
his powers are DWindleing from the perspective that his eye sight has regressed swifter than itachi's (to my knowledge)

Right, people have to remember that while Naruto did get info on the 6 paths of Pain... I believe Zetsu has been creepin on battles. It's not like Akatsuki did not have ANY information on Naruto's abilities. They didn't know he could enter sage mode, but Pain knew about the capabilities of sage mode and thats about the same thing.
