I already told you he can dodge Totsuka blade and Yata Mirror becomes useless because Itachi cannot maintain Susano'o while Hakugeki is in action. If Itachi just puts up Yata mirror, he's gonna let Kabuto use Hakugeki causing him to lose control of Susano'o and then not have Yata Mirror to protect himself.

Kabuto hesitated to attack allowing the technique to die down and then allowing Itachi to use Susano'o again. From the timeframe where Itachi wasn't doing anything, Kabuto had plenty of time to attack and finish one of the two. If he uses it against Itachi by himself, he has plenty of time to finish him.
